everyone who says portugal don’t “deserve” to be in the semis better remember all the karmic disasters portugal has suffered in the recent past:

  • euro 2004, when they lost the final 1-0… at home
  • wc 2006, when they lost in the semifinals 1-0… on a penalty
  • wc 2010, when they lost 1-0 to spain… even though DAVID VILLA WAS CLEARLY OFFISDE (as per usual but no i’m not still bitter)
  • euro 2012, when portugal lost to spain in the semifinals… on penalties

learn your history. this is a team who’s fucking earned some good luck.
