A Beginners Guide to Dylan O'Brien

If you've just started watching Teen Wolf or The Maze Runner or you're wondering who that hottie is in Season 2 Episode 23 of New Girl, then I have the answer for you.
It's Dylan O'Brien.
If you're worried that now you've seen him once and now feel compelled to watch everything he's ever been in makes you insane, then it does, but it's okay, it happens to all of us and this article is here the help you through it.
Here's everything you need to know about Dylan O'Brien.
Dylan was born in New York and grew up in New Jersey until the age of twelve, when him and his family moved to California. At the age of 14 Dylan began to upload original Youtube videos. You may know him for singing such hits as 'Wannabe' by 'Spice Girls'.
Although his Youtube videos may seem all in good humor, they were actually the making of the Dylan O'Brien we all know today. It was through watching his videos that he was approached by a local producer and director to star in a webseries. During the webseries was when he met an actor who introduced him to a manager.
You really never know what's just round the corner. (Or what a rendition of Wannabe can do for you.)
2011 was a big year for Dylan as, after many auditions, he got a lead roll in MTV's Teen Wolf, a TV adaptation of the 1985 film starring Michael J. Fox. He was originally called to audition for the role of Scott McCall but after reading the script he decided that Stiles Stilinski was more up his street and auditioned for that part instead. I think I can speak for all Teen Wolf fans when I say that both Dylan and the casting director made the right decision with that one, as Dylan is the perfect Stiles.
Also, in 2011 he starred in the film High Road alongside Ed Helms (The Hangover, We're the Millers) and Rob Riggle (Modern Family, The Hangover, 21/22 Jump Street and any other late night comedy you can think of), about a drug dealer on the run with a 16 year old boy who thinks the police are following him but it's in fact just the kids dad and his fake police officer friend. Everyone loves a road-trip comedy and the film actually has a really good cast but unfortunately it was a load of rubbish and was more like a disturbing documentary. If this article was a review of just this film, I would give it half a gold star and recommend you never waste your time watching it.
Teen Wolf was a hit and was renewed for a second season which aired on June 3rd 2012. Also in 2012, Dylan played the character of Dave in the film The First Time, about two school kids who fall head over heels in love with each other over the space of one weekend. The film itself is cute but slow, but it's difficult to stop watching as Dylan is just to die for.
This is the part of the article that is going to break your heart, so be prepared.
