SPOILER ALERT
Perhaps one of the biggest surprises of the evening.
What a man, what a movie! Congratulations, Mark Rylance!
Well-deserved for her beautiful performance in 'The Danish Girl'.
Gone but never forgotten.
5 nominations later and 23 years after his first nomination LEO HAS FINALLY WON AN OSCAR!
YUSSS! Go Brie! ‘Room’ was a fantastic movie.
It's fair to say that reviews of The Danish Girl have been polarising - while most agree that Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander were fantastic as Einar/Lili and Gerda, some have criticised director Tom Hooper's decision to cast a cisgender man in the role of Einar/Lila arguing that the role should have been played by a transgender actor.

Well-deserved. Star of the movie, honestly.
The 2016 Oscar Nominees are all exceptional actors who gave incredible performances this year in their respective films. However, not all Oscar worthy actors always play Oscar worthy characters, and not every great character or film can be nominated for an Oscar.

If there is one thing the internet is obsessed with, its the fact that Leonardo DiCaprio has never won an Oscar. 2016 might finally be his year, after being nominated for his role in The Revenant. However, Leo isn't the only worthy actor who has never won an award, he's just the most talked about.
With every year of Academy award nominations, there also comes a lot of controversy. This person was left out or that film was ignored, and this year is no different. It looks like this year the big surprises include a lot of race issues, as is pretty common in Hollywood right now.
You got this Leo, you got this. All that ice ain't got nothing on you this time.
I'm afraid Leo's not going to let go until he wins that other Oscar. Hang in there, Oscar Isaac.
