A Beginners Guide to Dylan O'Brien
Written by Creator Molly Fay on Creators.co
If you've just started watching Teen Wolf or The Maze Runner or you're wondering who that hottie is in Season 2 Episode 23 of New Girl, then I have the answer for you.
It's Dylan O'Brien.
If you're worried that now you've seen him once and now feel compelled to watch everything he's ever been in makes you insane, then it does, but it's okay, it happens to all of us and this article is here the help you through it.
Here's everything you need to know about Dylan O'Brien.
Dylan was born in New York and grew up in New Jersey until the age of twelve, when him and his family moved to California. At the age of 14 Dylan began to upload original Youtube videos. You may know him for singing such hits as 'Wannabe' by 'Spice Girls'.
Although his Youtube videos may seem all in good humor, they were actually the making of the Dylan O'Brien we all know today. It was through watching his videos that he was approached by a local producer and director to star in a webseries. During the webseries was when he met an actor who introduced him to a manager.
You really never know what's just round the corner. (Or what a rendition of Wannabe can do for you.)
2011 was a big year for Dylan as, after many auditions, he got a lead roll in MTV's Teen Wolf, a TV adaptation of the 1985 film starring Michael J. Fox. He was originally called to audition for the role of Scott McCall but after reading the script he decided that Stiles Stilinski was more up his street and auditioned for that part instead. I think I can speak for all Teen Wolf fans when I say that both Dylan and the casting director made the right decision with that one, as Dylan is the perfect Stiles.
Also, in 2011 he starred in the film High Road alongside Ed Helms (The Hangover, We're the Millers) and Rob Riggle (Modern Family, The Hangover, 21/22 Jump Street and any other late night comedy you can think of), about a drug dealer on the run with a 16 year old boy who thinks the police are following him but it's in fact just the kids dad and his fake police officer friend. Everyone loves a road-trip comedy and the film actually has a really good cast but unfortunately it was a load of rubbish and was more like a disturbing documentary. If this article was a review of just this film, I would give it half a gold star and recommend you never waste your time watching it.
Teen Wolf was a hit and was renewed for a second season which aired on June 3rd 2012. Also in 2012, Dylan played the character of Dave in the film The First Time, about two school kids who fall head over heels in love with each other over the space of one weekend. The film itself is cute but slow, but it's difficult to stop watching as Dylan is just to die for.
This is the part of the article that is going to break your heart, so be prepared.
4 Independent Romantic Comedies That Teach You About Love
Written by Creator Yasmin Kleinbart
With the over saturation of action and superhero films, there hasn't been a lot of room for romantic comedies lately. The most recent film was How to Be Single and most people don't even remember when that came out. Lately, the rom coms all seem to be about the same thing: how to cope with breakups or how to get revenge on a cheating ex. However, independent films have had different (and better) messages to say and because they're in a limited release, the writers are more brave to speak their mind rather than becoming a generic "boy gets girl" story. These four rom coms may seem run of the mill but the stories they convey are so important and relevant to relationships today.
1. Obvious Child
Obvious Child may seem like a run of the mill comedy, but it’s such a rare story to see on screen. Donna (Jenny Slate) is a newly unemployed comic who becomes pregnant after a one night stand. When she goes to schedule an abortion, the only appointment they have available is February 14th, the most ironic day of all. She then has to gather the courage to tell the guy that he is the father.
In most films regarding pregnancy, the woman always seems to have the baby in the end. Whether they change their mind at the last minute or never even think of an abortion, it’s almost never shown on screen. What’s so great about Obvious Childis that she actually goes through with it. No one tries to convince her to keep it or show any malice towards her decision, and Slate handles it all in a comedic manner. That kind of writing takes a lot of guts to do, but Writer Gillian Robespierre goes all out. That may have gotten her a lot of hate with pro-life people but it’s a story that needed to be told.
2. 500 Days of Summer
On the surface, 500 Days of Summer looks like a typical romantic comedy. It seems like these two complex characters are going to live happily ever after, but it’s more complicated than that. At the beginning of the film, the narrator explicitly states that this is not a love story, but a story about love. He couldn’t have been more right. 500 Days of Summer teaches us not to romanticize and put certain people on pedestals.
Tom (Joseph Gordon Levitt) falls in love with Summer (Zooey Deschanel) even though she has explicitly said that she wants to just be friends .But after the sex and cuddling, Tom wants more than just friends with benefits. While watching the film, people find it easy to call Summer the bad guy in this situation, but even Levitt admitted that Tom was the delusional one. He kept wanting to change a girl’s feelings even after saying that she didn’t want a relationship with him. The film is a good lesson on how love isn’t so black and white.
3. What If?
Zoe Kazan has been the rom-com sweetheart as of late. She’s had three romantic comedies come out in three years and she continually proves that she’s probably the most adorable person in Hollywood. What If? plays with the usual conventions but has great chemistry between Kazan and Daniel Radcliffe.
After a string of failed relationships, Wallace (Radcliffe) forms a bond with Chantry (Kazan) who has a long-term boyfriend. Wallace falls in love with her but tries to remain her best friend at the same time. It plays with the concept with the friend zone without getting obnoxious or sexist.
4. Ruby Sparks
Not only does Kazan star as the titular character, but she also wrote the screenplay as well. Paul Dano plays Calvin, an uninspired author who finds his lead character, Ruby (Kazan), come to life. She’s quirky and bubbly, just like he wrote her, but can be anyone he wants. He just simply types any new personality traits and she adopts them right away. It’s seems to be a dream come true until Ruby starts to have her own independent thoughts about herself and their relationship. Ruby Sparks may seem run of the mill but it teaches the (obvious?) lesson that changing people to fit your desires will only push them away more.
Things Are Hotting Up For Supergirl, But Who Is Her True Love Interest?
Written by Creator Craig Patrick Arnott
Supergirl has surprised viewers around the globe with her high-flying television series. With a well thought out plot, great character development, lots of action and plenty of DC cameos for fans, it has left few dissatisfied.
However the biggest question fans are asking is who is her true love interest? The young heroine has had plenty pursue her and she herself has pursued more than one. With her confession to James in the latest episode, has the question finally been answered? Perhaps not. Let us have a look back at who has caught the attention of our Kryptonian heroine and consider all the possibilities.
1. Winslow "Winn" Schott, Jr.
Winn is Supergirl's best friend at CatCo and was the first person she revealed her Supergirl secret to. Their relationship has been that of best friends, however Winn has had feelings for Kara for a long time, even before he knew who and what she was. When his deranged father Toyman escaped from prison, Winn admitted some dark secrets to Kara and even went in for a kiss.
As to be expected this did not work to his advantage, poor guy, it is so hard to get out of the "friend zone." Kara and Winn were unsure what to do to get past their predicament and he even told her he needed time away from her to give him time to get over it. However, all has not been too sad for Winn as he has recently been getting it on with Cat Grant's newest assistant Siobhan, but that itself may be destined to hurt him further given who Siobhan is destined to become. While he and Supergirl have repaired their friendship it is safe to say Winn is out of the running for being the one to steal Supergirl's heart.
2. Adam Foster
What is cool about Adam Foster is the fact he was played by Blake Jenner, the real-life husband of Melissa Benoist who plays Supergirl. Adam was brought into the series through Kara's meddling when she discovered her boss, Cat Grant, had an estranged son, Adam. With Kara's help the mother and son began to form a relationship, but his mother was not the only person Adam was wanting to have a relationship with.
All seemed set for Supergirl to fly into the sunset with Adam, until Kara feared those she loved may be in danger due to her heroics. This caused her to end things with Adam, hurting him and angering her boss Cat. While Adam may return in future series for the odd episode to visit his mother it is unlikely he will get it on with Kara for a second time.
3. James "Jimmy" Olsen
James is known by many as Jimmy, the best friend of Superman. However when he wanted to branch out Superman requested he go to National City to watch over his cousin Kara. Since the moment they met there has been a connection between the two and quite clearly a mutual attraction. This was not left unnoticed by Kara's adopted sister Alex.
However all came to a sudden halt when Lucy Lane, the younger sister of Lois Lane, arrived on the scene. Lucy is James's long-term girlfriend, who arrives in National City to fight for her man and even joins the team at CatCo. However James and Kara's chemistry continued to mount and eventually led to Lucy leaving James. In the latest episode of Supergirl, Kara confessed to James but he stopped her before she finished telling him her true feelings, as he needs time. Seems the guys on this show all need time. So does this mean the pair will finally get together before the end of the series, it is possible as they could be saving it for the series finale.
Is Carol Living On Borrowed Time On 'The Walking Dead'?
Written by Creator Pri Figueiredo
Remember the third season of The Walking Dead? Episode 7? No? Go re-watch it. Play it. Fast forward to 15:20.
That's Carol saying to Daryl she has "nine lives."
Curiosity hit me and I went through all the near-miss moments Carol's had on the show, just to check. With the promos for Season 6, Episode 13 showing her and Maggie in dire straits it was worth the digging, especially when I found out how many of those nine lives she's already spent.
1. Season 1 - Episode 6, The CDC
This is actually a moment worth counting for all our Season 1 characters. They didn't want to be stuck inside, they wanted to live, and they almost didn't.
"My daughter doesn't deserve to die like this."
Those were Carol's words to Jenner that day, and she made it out with the rest of the group. Actually, she pretty much saved their lives, because she'd held onto Rick's grenade from his first day at the camp. That's what I call foresight.
2. Hershel's Farm Herd
What a devastating season Carol had that year. She lost her daughter then found out she'd become a walker, only to have her put down by Rick. Not only that but the car with Lori, Beth, and T-Dog just drove away, leaving Carol and Andrea behind. If it hadn't been for Daryl hearing her screaming for help in the season finale she'd have been lost for good. That's two.
3. At The Prison
In 'Killer Within,' the group gets separated when walkers invade the courtyard where they are. T-Dog and Carol get cornered between two groups of walkers inside the prison and he sacrifices himself so she can escape. T-Dog certainly redeemed himself after leaving her behind at the farm.
4. 'Isolation'
Sickness invaded the prison and the group was once again separated in order to deal with it. Carol was left with Rick and while both were trying to get the sick people some water, she ventured outside the gates to manage a pipe obstruction. Of course, the walkers came at her and Rick went to the rescue, only to send her away an episode later. Just seeing the walkers approaching her, you knew it was a close call.
5. "You're not here... and neither am I"
This was one of those episodes that left us feeling like we all wanted to be like Carol. She kicked some serious proverbial butt in 'No Sanctuary,' rescuing Rick and the gang all by herself, and doing so completely inconspicuously. Here in the "candle room" — recently listed by Carol in her little black book of death — she had a gun pointed at her and had to fight her way out. So far, I count five.
6. Finding Beth
Along with Daryl, back in Atlanta, following a lead on Beth's whereabouts, Carol fell off a bridge in a car, had a not-so-friendly first encounter with Noah, and lastly was run over by the same people who took Beth in the first place. All that in the space of a day!
7. 'Crossed'
Then, as if all that hadn't already been debilitating enough, she ran the risk of being unplugged from life support. It was Beth who worked her way around Dawn — and the Doc — to get Carol the medicine she needed to survive.
8. The Wolf / Morgan
Between having a concussion, being knocked down unconscious by Morgan (oh Morgan, why?) and the Wolf leader taking advantage of the situation, I'd say it was a little bit too much — and a lot of luck considering she'd already hit her head once that day.
9. 'The Same Boat'
This week's capture takes the count to nine.
Nine times Carol has been dangerously close to kicking the bucket and calling it quits. Will she use up her last life in the next episode or will she manage to stay out of harm's way?

Season 1 was an enjoyable romp in the woods BUT....it felt a bit like a testing ground and some fans, like myself, felt a bit of a void. So without further ado, here's my list of 5 Things we demand in season 2.
So the small screen got a massive shock when Ash vs Evil Dead premiered on October 31st 2015. It'd been over 20 years! since Army of Darkness, the 3rd movie from the infamous EVIL DEAD trilogy, was in theaters and many fans had given up on any chance of seeing lovable idiot Ash aka Bruce Campbell back in his career defining role.
Star Wars the Force Awakens was without a doubt a massive movie spectacle. The film has broken numerous box office records especially when the movie tickets initially went on sale. Not including the prequels, this film actually felt like a Star Wars film should. It had the right story with great characters and humor sprinkled throughout.
One of the issues the film had in my opinion was the fact that Starkiller Base was basically another “Death Star” and did not last in more than one film. However I have seen the film three more times and I have to say that every time I re-watch it, I enjoy the movie even more. Problems aside, Starkiller Base proved a formidable force (pardon the pun) for the Resistance to take down. Yes they had a plan similar to A New Hope, but it could have easily gone the other way.
Sure the Resistance may have pulled off another Death Star attack, but what side was actually victorious in the end? The answer may surprise you.
As movie enthusiasts, we all have those characters we love to cheer, because not only are they complex or interesting but also, they simply kick serious butt.
This collection of characters may not seem to have a lot in common. They may be from different backgrounds, different time or even different genre, but they all share one strong trait among them : They are bad ass!
I tried to depict the essence of the character rather than to focus on the people portraying them. All the artwork is done in vectors and all of them have a subtle background with a color linked to the movie.
That's the magic of the Fallout games, isn't it? It's pretty much the same thing, but at the same time it's not. I've tried to come up with a reason why it's so appealing and it's really hard to put into words.
ABC Family (soon to be Freeform) are doing the absolute most and best when it comes to brand-spanking-new series Shadowhunters. The show is based upon the seemingly never-ending, artfully created series of books and expanded universe created by American author Cassandra Clare. Shadowhunters is due to smash our screens, and fill our hearts on January 12, 2016!
Oh Yoda, we've all done things we regret.
Stephen Amell is the undisputed king of superhero social media, and after a short break, he was back tonight with a two part Q&A session on Facebook that was chock full of great moments.
