Simple Ways to Practice Magick Everyday

  1. Say a small prayer or do a short meditation before you get out of bed in the morning.
  2. Write down dreams or visions you had.
  3. Stir your first cup of coffee or tea counterclockwise to banish negativity and bad luck or clockwise to bring positive energy.
  4. Draw daily tarot or oracle cards (you can also use a pendulum) for guidance.
  5. Cleansing yourself and home using sound or smoke.
  6. Ancestor or spirit offerings
  7. Pick out your clothes, shoes, jewelry... ect with intention.
  8. Write a sigil or petition paper and burn it.
  9. Take a ritual shower. You can spice it up with candles, herbs, and crystals, or you can simply step under the water and imagine all the negativity and bad energy washing off you. You can also recite a chant.
  10. Every time you look into the mirror, say an affirmation
  11. Take a walk outside and ground yourself to Mother Earth.
  12. Dance!! Dancing is an excellent way to rise the energy, and it helps with opening the sacral and solar plexus chakra and getting in touch with the inner child.

Money Bowl Tips ✨💸

I absolutely adore doing money bowls. They serve as an amazing way to build up abundant energy and help with layering your workings. They’re a fairly straightforward working that you tend to by continually feeding it energy or “working” the spell. Let’s jump into some tips.

1.) Have a schedule with it. I recommend feeding your bowl energy fairly often, ideally weekly on Thursdays, but at least once a month. Thursdays are connected to Jupiter which is the planet connected to wealth and abundance. 🪐

2.) Add a candle. A fairly low energy way to keep up with tending to your bowl is to spell a candle for it. After it’s prepped and ready, place it in the bowl. Lighting the candle will feed the bowl energy. 🕯️

3.) The base is just as important as the rest of the bowl. Commonly you use salt or rice for the base. I recommend going a little extra with it. Recently I’ve been into making spell crafted cinnamon salt and using that as my bowl base. Put energy and intention behind making your bowl’s base. It’s literally the foundation of this spell!

3.) *some* herbs you can use in money workings: Alfalfa, dill, basil, chamomile, bay leaves, catnip, oranges, cloves, lemongrass, jasmine, cinnamon, allspice, ginger, mints, star anise, cats claw, and oregano. There are a bunch of options. These ones just have direct correspondence to money drawing.

4.) Set goals for your bowl. Whenever you feed your bowl, focus on this goal you’re driving towards. With money magic you ideally want to be as specific as you can be. These can be long term or short term goals. I usually focus on long term and building stability and sustainable energy flowing to that goal.

I hope these tips bring some ideas for making your own money bowls. 🖤🌱

When legal matters are a problem, or you feel you've been wrong in some way, invoke Hecate, the Goddess of Justice, by chanting:

Keeper of what's just and right Come and save me from the plight Take swift action — hear my plea Do now what I ask of Thee

Know that the problem will be resolved.

Mabon Bath

Mabon marks the beginning of Autumn, and what better way to celebrate cooler weather than with a warm and healing bath. Ideal as both a pre-ritual bath or the main magical event of this Sabbat, this mixture brings healing, protection, and spiritual opening.

Ingredients:

  • 1 part oatmeal
  • 1 part powdered milk
  • 1 part sea salt
  • dried calendula petals
  • dried chamomile flowers
  • frankincense essential oil
  • myrrh essential oil

Place oatmeal in food processor or blender and blend until it becomes a powder consistency (conversely, buy it in powder form). Transfer to a separate container. Mix in equal parts powdered milk and sea salt, then add roughly 1 teaspoon of each dried flower per cup of mixture. Drop in essential oils to desired fragrance strength.

Draw a warm bath the night of Mabon and add in at least one cup of the mixture to the water. Add plenty of candles, spicy incense, and fall colors to the space to set the mood. While in the bath, meditate on the coming darkness and ask your deity or the elements for protection.

Binding Someone’s Negative Action By @HearthWitch(YT)

(YouTube videos under the cut)

Ingredients

Pen (for writing)

Black thread or electrical tape (banishing)

Photograph of only the person (or any taglock)

Note: Emotionally-driven; 100% want the behavior to stop

Instructions:

Focus on picture all of your hatred, anger.

Name the picture (person’s full name) aloud.

Tell the picture what they have done and why you need it to stop, as if it is the actual person.

Flip over the image, write at the very top their full birth name and date of birth. This links the image to the person.

Write what you want to stop and why it needs to stop.

Feel the anger and hatred about their behavior.

Turn paper/image 90 degrees counterclockwise.

Sign your name 3x (three times) across. Put your energy into your signature.

Fold the image in half with the picture/image inside.

Continue to think and feel the intention (what you want to stop and why it needs to stop).

Turn clockwise.

Roll the paper up.

Take the black thread and loop away from you, make it tight around the image/paper.

Focus on binding the behavior: You are the thread. They are the image.

Chant: Full name. Date of birth. I will bind you. I will bind your actions, full name. (REPEAT)

Knot the end of the thread. Do 9 knots in total. For each knot, state:

I bind you once to stop the negative action against (who).

I bind you twice for (reason).

I bind you thrice (or three times) for (reason).

I bind you four times for (reason).

I bind you five times for (reason)

I bind you six times for (reason)

I bind you seven times for (reason).

I bind you eight times for (reason).

I bind you nine times ro stop the negative action against (who).

Note: can do multiple bindings. Can bury or burn. The thread can loosen around six (6) months.

You're Iced Out
A hex for complete social isolation

Do you have a problematic coworker, a friend who always causes drama in your group, or just someone you think deserves to be lonely?

You Will Need

  • A large bowl
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Three pennies or coins with faces
  • A poppet
  • Red yarn or string
  • A Taglock of your target
  • This Sigil

 “You’re Iced Out.”

Step 1

Take the pennies and freeze them into ice cubes so that when they are submerged in water later, they can be arranged more accurately.

Step 2

Prepare your bowl. Add a copy of the ‘you’re iced out’ sigil to the bottom of the bowl. Take the poppet, add your taglock. The heavier the poppet the better for this spell, perhaps weight it down with some rocks or sand.

Step 3

Arrange the coin/ice cubes in a circle in the bowl, make sure the faces are looking outward, toward the rim of the bowl.

Wrap the body of the poppet in the red yarn. Reflect on the behaviors you wish to punish in your target. Then, unravel the yarn and place the poppet in the bowl between the ice cubes. Imagine them friendless, alone, and completely isolated from all support. No family, no friends, no coworks, no peers. They’re naked in the cold. Dunk the poppet in water so that it is completely saturated. (To ensure it doesn’t float to the top) Then, rub the entire body in salt. (Be careful not to burn your hands when handling ice and salt)

Step 4

Fill the entire bowl with water and leave to freeze. Ideally this will be kept in your freezer until you feel that the target has suffered enough and learned a lesson.

Friends On The Other Side Curse - to cause nightmares for someone who is insulting you, gossiping about you, or otherwise making your life difficult by running their mouth

Don’t you disrespect me, little man Don’t you derogate or deride You’re in my world now, not your world And I’ve got friends on the other side

You will need:

  • Photo of the person, or a blank cloth poppet
  • Target’s hair or nails, if you can get them
  • Black marker, or needle and black thread
  • Valerian (for a constant groggy feeling)
  • Juniper berries (to cause visions)
  • Lobelia (aka Gagroot, to make them choke on their words)
  • Allspice (to alleviate diarrhea of the mouth)
  • Cypress (to cause dreams to become nightmares) [Substitute for Yew]
  • Vinegar
  • Jar with tight-fitting lid
  • Coins or food offering

Step One: Take the photo or poppet, and the black marker or needle and thread, and draw X’s or sew a series of cross-stitches over the mouth. The number will depend on how badly the target has been slandering you. For worse transgressions, use more X’s.

Say:

I bind your mouth, I bind your voice Because you made the foolish choice To insult, slander, and seek to maim, But now it is YOU who will be shamed.

Step Two: Place the poppet or photo, and the hair and nails into the jar. Add the lobelia and the allspice. While adding the valerian, juniper berries, and cypress, say:

No more words and no more speech But dreams I place within your reach Into your head these herbs will send A nightmare world without an end You chose to derogate and deride Now meet my friends on the Other Side

Step Three: Fill the jar with vinegar (or urine, if you prefer), and seal it. Wax or duct tape around the rim will prevent escape.

Step Four: Take the jar to a cemetery. Bury it inside the gate. Leave the coins or food as an offering for the dead who dwell there. Walk away without looking back.

Herbs to Avoid During Pregnancy

If you’re looking at this for a list of herbs to avoid while you’re pregnant, so as not to risk hurting the fetus and ensuing baby, then you should be avoiding these herbs if you’re trying to become pregnant too. Studies show that 30% to 50% of all fertilized eggs are lost before a pregnancy is actually established, and the woman never even knows about it. Of known pregnancies, 10% to 20% end in miscarriage. So, it’s important if you’re trying to have a baby, to do everything possible not to contribute to those numbers.

So, with no further ado, these are the herbs to avoid if you are now, or are trying to become pregnant.

  • Saw Palmetto
  • Goldenseal
  • Donq Quai (used in combination with other herbs to induce miscarriage)
  • Ephedra
  • Yohimbe
  • Pay D’Arco
  • Passion Flower
  • Black Cohosh (used in combination with other herbs to induce miscarriage)
  • Blue Cohosh (used in combination with other herbs to induce miscarriage)
  • Chamomile (roman)
  • Pennyroyal
  • Ginseng
  • Evening Primrose
  • Feverfew
  • Kava Kava
  • Aloe
  • Valerian
  • Rosemary (in amounts greater than normally found in food)
  • Yarrow
  • Licorice
  • Angelica (used in combination with other herbs to induce miscarriage)
  • Lovage
  • Mistletoe
  • Myrrh
  • Sage
  • Thyme (in amounts greater than normally found in food )
  • Tumeric
  • Motherwort

Also, while you (hopefully) don’t ever ingest known poisonous herbs, I’d also advise not handling them while pregnant as some things can be absorbed through your skin. Not a lot, but better safe than sorry. These are herbs that are listed by the USDA as Unsafe or Potentially Unsafe for use during pregnancy.

mugwort and skullcap should be avoided, too. both may cause miscarriage.

Rue should also be avoided! As it also causes skin irritation if broken leaves touch skin, as well as potentially inducing a miscarriage, I recommend avoiding it altogether. Don’t touch it, don’t ingest it.

RECIPES I KEEP IN MY ONLINE KITCHEN WITCH JOURNAL #2

I love making these oh my gosh.

Why?

  1. It's really fun
  2. It's been a while since my last one
  3. I get an excuse to try yummy recipes
  4. You all are way too good at what you do
  5. It's fun x2

Teas, Drinks, And Syrups

Baked Goods + Sweets

Soups, Stews, And Dinners

Sabbat Stuff

Angel's Best

(my favorite recipe posts I've made over the years, plus backstories that sound like your grandmother's reminiscing over the past.)

My first post I ever made. I was pretty new to the tumblr community at the time. I loved kitchen witchcraft, and I'm the type of person who will ramble on about how much I love cooking and baking. This blog gave me an outlet to express my love of cooking, baking, paganism, and witcraft. And these rolls are very tasty, I make them to this day!

Tasty, simple, and a crowd-pleaser. It's perfect for a beginner kitchen witch! It was also the second recipe I ever posted.

It was a recipe given to me by one of my good friends at the time. Every time I make it, it gets devoured in less than 10 minutes. It was also my first recipe to get over 50 notes. I was shocked but ecstatic that so many people would even give it the time of day lol.

These ones were just fun to make and delicious lol.

A quick soup that feeds a lot of people during the fall season. Fall is my favorite season, so of course I'm very biased lol.

I love pumpkin bread and apple cider... So why not combine the two? This one was definitely one of my favorites of all time. Moist pumpkin bread and chocolate chips have to be one of my favorite things on this planet. It also makes for the perfect gift for friends and family. Yummy!

I love dessert loaves of any kind, so naturally, this would be on the list lol.

Super simple comfort food! I love any time of cookie with brown sugar.

I love French toast, and I love positivity~

These are really good! And traditional. If you celebrate Samhain, I recommend you make some soul cakes and have friends and family help decorate. I give the littles a bag of orange frosting and let them go crazy lol.

One of my most recent is my witchy twist on chicken noodle soup!
