Akira knows that Goro’s father is Masayoshi Shido, in fact, Akira is the only one who should know that other than Goro himself.
But Akira has made a grave mistake, he’s let the secret come loose.
It wasn’t necessarily on purpose, not with Futabas snooping, but he could have at least prevented the hell fire that came afterwards.
but he didn’t.
Now he can see the thieves shoot side eyed glares at Goro during meetings, whispering in each other’s ears. Goro’s caught on, Akira knows he has. They think Goro is going to rat them out, they think Goro is on the other side.
Akira doesn’t know who to believe, really.
“Hey, Goro, follow me,” Akira called, gesturing towards the Cafe door. Goro stared at him sourly.

Flock of Crows: Christmas Carol but all the ghosts are Akechi’s Personas. Robin Hood is past, Loki is present, Hereward is future.
Dead Crow: Akechi Generations, featuring Classic and Modern Akechi
Pokémon: I always imagined Haru and Morgana doing the Team Rocket motto when you meet them in Okumura’s.
Haunting: Throw in Kasumi and we got ourselves a deal.
Amnesia: Into The Akechi-Verse
Space: Is this just Outertale but Persona 5?
Shared House: AND THEY’RE ALL BIOLOGICAL SIBLINGS.

what do you think happens when a palace ruler has two shadows, and one of them is killed?
i suppose it depends- like you said in your tags, the palace ruler could 'lose' the side of themselves that was represented by this shadow. if we go with that option, then we have different routes. if that shadow represents some sort of negative aspect of them, those traits wont disappear in a way thats expected. the palace ruler could possibly lose the reason WHY they were displaying those traits in the first place. EX: lets use goro. if he ever has two shadows, and one of them represent his anger towards the world. if that shadow is killed, then we could make it so he doesnt remember his own past (he forgets about shido being his father, he forgets that he's a '''bastard child''', forgets how his mother died and why, forgets that stuff. if we go the other route of them being more unstable, then that could mean anything. say we continue with the theme we have running here- if a shadow is killed, then the palace ruler forgets their reasons for portraying those traits that the shadow represents- if we continue with it, then we could say that this person KNOWS theyre missing a part of who they are. it could be identity issues they could deal with for potentially their whole life. they dont know a part of themselves, they literally forget stuff in their past, yknow. that stuff. it could drive them to find a part of themselves that no longer exists. i think another idea worth exploring/conversing about is closer to what you originally said in the tags- if one of the palace ruler's shadow is killed, they lose the side of themselves thats represented in that shadow- but in a different way. they completely are wiped of those feelings/traits the shadow represented, but they dont forget WHY they felt those things in the first place. its simply detached from the rest of the person, and they are simply a husk of their former self. unaware they are incomplete, and they will forever feel off to the people around them. i think an idea thats worth toying around with is that once the shadow is killed, they can never display/feel whatever the shadow represented. so theyre never really... human, so to speak.

The au I’m using this for is an Akechi palace au, where one shadow represents “Robin Hood“ (or the more childish, wanting to be heroic side of Akech) and the other is “Loki” (the hate filled side of him which is essentially black mask during the engine room)
if one of these is killed, let’s say Robin, Akechi would become a lot more like Loki and he knows that theres something very Wrong (like what you mentioned in the unstable route) Hes aggressive and emotional, and is sort of just a mental mess

Here we go op I hope these are good
- Akechi wears long sleeves and gloves to keep himself from scratching his arms up (he had a bad habit of doing it as a child to the point where the scratches would bleed)
- Shido has a habit of using his worst punishments on Akechi when he doesn’t finish a job on time, since Akechi is his most useful pawn
- Shido is also an alcoholic and gets physically violent when he’s drunk and pissed
- Akechi has a bad habit of drinking on bad days, getting drunk enough so that he won’t think about what happened
- During Sae’s palace, the Thieves notice Akechi seems injured before entering the palace (bad day with Shido) and start to ask questions, but Akechi pushes them away with lame excuses (I fell off my bike or something of the sort)
- After the events of P5R (where Akechi lives) Shidos men start looking for him either to kill him or to rope him back into the conspiracy
aaand that’s as many as my pea brain can think of rn have fun :)
oh my so i love your work first of all. but like imagine this goro interactions with loki like what would it be like. Because like i think they be funny either loki being an absolute chaotic force within akechi ( in a good way... maybe) and robin hood is just like no do not do *insert stupid evil thing here*
tbh i headcanon that loki is chaotic good and likes attention i don't think he is evil just a trickster god doing trickster god things

Tbh I have two versions of Loki living rent free in my head lol
I’m a sucker for chaotic good loki that isn’t necessarily evil, but he is a chaotic little shit
But I also love angsty type loki that’s sort of a “parasite” or smth influencing Akechi’s choices, perfect for angsty fics >:)
I actually do have a few headcannons for Robin and Loki so here we go :D
- Loki and Robin Hood are like Akechis dads at this point
- Loki is like intrusive thoughts but not exactly bad ones
- For example: Akechi nearly forgets to put water in his microwave cup ramen and Loki says “put it in anyway” like it’s a triple dog dare
- When akechi actually does it, Robin is like the disappointed parent while Loki cheers him on
- Loki has the occasional snarky comment on people who akechis talking to
- “Does that kid EVER brush his hair?!” “Shut up Loki.”
- On the less shitposty side, I feel like after a stressful day or something Loki and Robin might attempt to comfort Akechi
- They might not be good at it but Akechi is definitely thankful for it :)

A new game plus au with Akechi
Where Akechi after he “dies” in Maruki’s palace finds himself in the past
But he’s the same age as before, and his past self still exists
His metaverse costume changes as well, with the mask now resembling a crow skull
He’s clearly not meant to be alive, either, because in the Metaverse he appears with part of his skull exposed, as well as a hole in his chest (skull showing in the area where his mask was broken and the hole is his bullet wound in Shido’s palace)
Meanwhile, on the phantom thieves and akechis side, there’s another metaverse user
Kamoshida mentions a man in a bird skull mask, and so does madarame (as well as a black masked criminal in his case ofc)

Thinking about a spin on the ol “Akechi loses his memory post game” AU where Akechi gets a palace as a result of that
A palace that isn‘t really a palace, more of an altered version of the real world where Akechi’s cognitions appear. His interactions with Akira and the others change said cognitions the more he remembers
I’m half tempted to ask someone to beta read my fic because 1. I want to see them drown in angst and 2. It’s so angsty I literally have to take long breaks from writing it

Goro was certainly not alive.
Following the events of the false reality, he should be dead. He couldn’t imagine any possible way he could have survived Shido’s palace.
He was, however, still entirely conscious and breathing. The fact he was transparent hadn’t gone unnoticed either. His bullet wound was still visible as well, clear as day. There was really only one conclusion, despite how little he wanted to believe in it.
Goro was a ghost.
He had been for almost a week now (including the two days where he hadn’t realized yet, both of which were filled with frustration and madness). Goro had found himself in his apartment almost a year after the events of Maruki’s reality. His first assumption was that he had somehow survived, or that Maruki hadn’t given up his stupid efforts to revive him. As it turned out, neither were true.
It was admittedly quite amusing to discover his new abilities to walk through thin walls, float, and phase through certain objects. He couldn’t feel pain either, which was an added plus of being undead.
What he despised, though, was the loneliness that followed him no matter what he did or where he went. Nobody would listen when he spoke or screamed, nor realized when he was in the room. It was the attention starved part of him that attempted so many outlandish things in order to gain someone’s notice.
Which finally leads to Goro’s current situation: wanting to absolutely strangle Akira Kurusu’s stupid cat.
