A badge in the shape of the Children of the Cathedral symbol. On one side you notice bumps and indentations, almost reminding you of a key.
Made two new props for my Children of the Cathedral cosplay. The black COC badge you loot from Morpheus, the red badge you get from Laura or Lasher. I really like how the colors turned out in the red badge.
Thanks to Ben for the only photo of our Daniel and Joshua (ft. Tingle) cosplays we found during Dragon Con2024. Which is a miracle since we were in the cosplays for about 2 hours, the 100*F/37.7*C weather and humidity in Georgia totally wiped me out!
The one time being covered in pitch and tossed into the Grand Canyon might be preferable!

Finally got the inspiration to sew again in enough time to debut my Jain cosplay for Dragoncon! Was originally going to have a Morpheus with me, but the yellow skirt was made with remnants and I wasn't able to find another fabric match in time.
Just a teaser for my next cosplay that I should have started already but I just keep staring the pile of parts expecting some magic to happen! Probably didn't help that this super long boi banner took forever to make because of all the tiny mistakes that came about, but I'm glad it worked out.

Back in the day I used to do clay art before I picked up 3D printing. Left was the clay version of Cassandra DeVries necklace piece from Perfect Dark, which I later dropped and broke... Right is the 3D printed version I made years later. Maybe one day I'll cosplay all the antagonists from the game like I promised myself!
I realized I never posted anything last month, so I'll post another older older costume. A few years ago I made my own costume of Silmariën days before (and it really shows!) Katsucon. The Ring of Barahir is real and is actually my engagement ring. Her Elendilmir was something I 3D printed and bound with a chain so it would rest on my forehead. I actually improved this costume months later, wore it to an event, which I never took any pictures of it, and now it rests somewhere in the depths of my house!
Just me being increasingly dramatic with my hands while I give you 10 seconds of burn damage as I ignite your soul! (Sorry!) Implemented some slight changes to my Grieving Mother cosplay for Zenkaikon. Other than the new bracelets, I also wore one of my old wigs that I was going to retire because it was too messy, but it worked really well for the character. Then I wore a pair of grey contacts to match her eye color better, though it only made my eyes a few shades lighter in the right light.

Many thanks to the two Fallout cosplayers (Smolcano Cosplay) who gave us a copy of the Wasteland Boredom Survival Guide at Zenkaikon! There was a lot of detail put into it that I didn't want to mess it up by filling out all the puzzles.
They are wrapped around the Grieving Mother's wrists with tiny woven braids of hair of different colors, from white to black, brown to blonde. You feel as if you're noticing them for the first time.

A throwback of sorts and a friendly reminder to always check weather warnings before leaving cosplay projects out on the floor and going to bed. A few years back, I lost my pattern pieces, fabric, and boots for my Danse BOS uniform cosplay to a flash flood that occurred, thus making it a moldy mess by the time my basement was cleaned out. Kinda killed my motivation... The only reminders I have of this lovely endeavor are some straps, unprinted 3D files, and some make-up & wig test pictures that I saved in black and white for some reason, making me look like I was trying to be a smug knock-off of that Giga Chad meme...
Did some much needed winter cleaning and found the holotags I had made for this cosplay in a pile of crafts! They held up well, minus a few nicks on the vinyl.
