got coffee with my friend, never letting her live this one down
song so nice I liked it thrice
I am NOT cut out for anything realistic, goodness gracious.
I'm gonna make another one more in my style since I do still want to try and make a minecraft painting texture pack with it, but I'm just going to post this anyways so my hours of work don't go to waste haha
I do think I did REALLY good on the enchanted sword and torch, though. For my first time freehanding pixelated objects? gorgeous
I have no idea WHAT I'm doing but I think I'm going to put it in a minecraft painting texture pack afterwards. looks like a 3x4, so I'll have to sacrifice one of the two existing ones to put it in afterwards.
Curse my brain for making me stay up late to draw my silly ideas. How do I even replicate a medieval style portrait painting?
Reminder to morning Corey to put a torch in that negative space
Today's birds. some are a little play on words, one (middle) belongs to Arnold Lobel (if you ever read The Ice-Cream Cone Coot growing up), and that cardinal is quite literally a Spark bird, haha
I know I already posted the Strawbirdie today, but who cares, it's going to be included in this bird collection. Got any more silly bird ideas? I'd love to hear them!
Sparktober Day 8! This song surprised me and definitely unsettled me a little. good stuff
MUAHAHA, I GOT ANOTHER ONE!! /silly
This isn't a vent or anything, I just felt like playing with lighting and expressing how it feels when I get scatterbrained or daydream (which is all the time, haha)
Anyways! Go listen to Disembodied Mind, such a beautiful song and one of my favorites from Sparkbird overall
I spent the first bit of my October drawing this instead of doing any monthly art challenge, as a sort of way to step back and look at what kind of direction I want to take my art style in, but also as a way to show my deep appreciation for some of the artists whose music has gotten me through many rough patches in more recent years, and encouraged my imagination and creativity to flourish more than it ever had before.
Alright sappy Corey time over, here's the individual columns:
the best ideas are the ones I mock up 10 minutes before bed. I categorize lots of my songs I like listening to by which time of year I would listen to each. Sea shanties for the summer and steampunk music for the winter, stuff like that.
