(Why does this belong on my decidedly not-fan-fiction-related blog, you ask? Because this quote illustrates very well how assuming that anything where people put sex in it is debasing it, objectifying it, or simply ‘sexualizing’ it, etc. often misses a lot of the real picture of why people do that thing.)

I believe even healthy&wholesome ships need a distinct note of fucked upness to them that does not negate the otherwise positive nature of their relationship but enriches it by giving it nuances that prevent it from becoming too saccharine. Yes, maybe their love is ultimately good for each other, but if they don't become deranged about it and willing to kill or die for it I won't care.

Same for the other way around. Even the most twisted and sick ship dynamics must have an element of unambiguous wholesomeness in the middle of all that filth. If two characters are just bad for each other I won't care unless you have them do something for one another that makes you go "that was... oddly cute".

surely summoning many ghouls would improve this situation

on my mind 24/7 lately a very creepy dean that does not deal with sam leaving for stanford in a normal way and starts to actively stalking him and terrifying everyone on campus while sam just tries to ignore him and doesn't tell anyone that the freak that's been spying through the classes' windows and harrassing teachers and students is actually his big brother (and definitely doesn't tell anyone he secretely likes it)

dean has such broad shoulders, and for what? for sam to put his long legs on them?

The remake reboot prequel sequel industrial complex is killing me but the good thing is I don't have to watch any of that. I can just think "that sounds boring or otherwise doesn't interest me in any way" and do something other than watch it

I know for a fact in spn-universe there’s a podcast or true crime Netflix original about Sam & Dean and it’s called like “brother husbands murder across America” like there are definitely true crime podcasts theorizing Sam and Dean are 1) still alive and 2) incestously in love and I know for a fact Sam listens to them
