white ppl who follow black ppl with the purpose of unlearning all the garbage they were taught growing up really should be giving them some coin bc using black folks and their personal experiences as living textbooks on how to not be an asshole is fucked and actually a type of dehumanization
We tell them to unlearn their racist thinking but then they go and dehumanize us into lessons that can use for their own games. Instead of going to educational blogs that actually talk about being a resource they use every Black person they meet here or in irl as an opportunity to examine their wokeness guided by a magical negro.
Okay so like, if a mutual I trust reblogs a post with fucked up views, I give them the benefit of the doubt, and I try to gently explain why the post is offensive in as non-combative a way as possible.
This one white mutual I had seemed to reblogs posts like this … more often, than my other mutuals. But she was always understanding when I explained, so I figured her ignorance was tolerable if she was willing to learn.
Then one day she just boldly admitted that she was deliberately reblogging posts she knew “felt off” were fucked up because she liked how eloquently and conscientiously I explained posts like this.
She had no regard for the emotional toll this was taking on me. She just wanted to milk me for free lessons.
Fuck that white demon.
I’m still mad about it.
