#that was such a good episode for Valencia though #like one of my main concerns with the show was that they kinda show her as a one dimensional character #(i didn't think she really is but we didn't spend much time exploring her so it was leaving a bit of a bad taste in my mouth) #but like starting in 1x14 and now with this we actually see more of her as a person and #more of how so many things with her come from the place of insecurity #like with all these little callbacks to earlier episodes #and the same thing even with her song in 1x09 and whole thing about not having female friends in 1x02 #and now this thing with Valencia not liking jokes which pretty much addressed here as actually coming from her inability to tell them #and she loves looking at pictures of food but hardly eats #it's all kinda lays into a pattern of her seeing her beauty as the dominant trait that makes her valuable in anyone's eyes #and because of all of that she feels incredibly insecure about being around rebecca as well #man I actually love her a lot; also I was kinda thinking about how I want her to be happy too but probably not with Josh #but with all the things lately I actually starting to feel like they may end up working out once Valencia figures her own problems out #because like Josh may be naive but he's actually capable of seeing good in people and I'm sure he's seen something in Valencia past just her #basically making this post to have the tags rant #man i love this show a lot
