This is one of the most beautiful scenes in the entire series of Doctor Who and I include the classic.  I do not understand people that say this is the worst finale. How could it be when you have scenes like this?

I think what he really means here is that he understands why she did it. He understands how much she loved Danny even if he didn’t understand their relationship or even loving someone in that way. They’re close enough friends that he can forgive something that terrible because he knows how much pain she’s in and that it’s worse than what he’s feeling about her betrayal. And he knows she won’t do it again. That forgiveness and display of trust is really beautiful.
