That was…all I wanted and a few things I didn’t know I did.

Of course trusting others instead of pushing them away was the key.

Of course the point is he’s tempted to be the general but never will and that’s the key.

Of course the Master wouldn’t get that and of course they would be the one to make the Doctor remember.

Of course he would fuck up because it wouldn’t be true to this series if he hadn’t but of course he would redeeem himself.

Of course Danny Pink saved the freaking universe.

Of course there was a bunch of plot that makes no sense whatsoever, Steven.

Of course the Master just wants their friend back. Did you seriously think there would be romance?

OF COURSE HE WOULD PULL THAT WITH THE FREAKING BRIGADIER.

Of course the Master’s plot would basically be a Maguffin because the Master is always bloody wrong because they’re the Master.

Of course the Doctor would want his friend back too. And of course he would sacrifice them to save Clara. And of course another friend would stop him in turn.

Of course the Doctor was the one who needed to grow up and face all the awful things about the universe like admitting you care about the people around you even though it hurts so much. (The Doctor is S5 Amy Pond, more at 11.)  And of course Clara pretended everything was OK at the end because she’s the strong one.

AND OF COURSE FATHER CHRISTMAS IS GOING TO MAKE IT OK RIGHT.

I’ve had a lot of young woman tell me that Allison is inspirational to them, and I love that. Because there aren’t a lot of strong female characters on TV at the moment, and I think it’s really important for this generation to see that.
