This man is not your brother but he is your dad's son and sometimes he speaks and you swear it's your dad's voice. This man is not your brother but he got the parts of being your dad's son you craved so desperately your whole life and if you could combine yourselves together you'd make either the perfect son or a total stranger. help im thinking about roy harper too hard again... he's a bleeding heart that never hardens! he loves so openly and generously again and again no matter how many times it hurts him... he's not afraid of fights or hard conversations or tough love, he won't let people push him away when they're isolating or self sabotaging. but when it comes to himself he is always so careful not to ask for too much, to take what he's offered and leave the doors open. he has an iron grip when he's saving someone else, but such a carefully loose grip when holding on for himself. how do you keep loving, when everyone always leaves you? gently, with your heart already broken, like you're holding a butterfly in the palm of your hand.

I love how Roy is like…..sad about Jade being imprisoned for blowing up an entire country? What did he think was gonna happen.

So how come we never give Roy flack for who at one point worked for the Government? People will still give flack to Dick for being a cop for one run but we never get people booing Roy for working with the Government?

(And no hate to Roy I'm just saying being a bit hypocritical as a fandom)

Especially when Roy really intended to work for government while Dick was only working as a cop to route out the corruption from the inside out
