genuinely what does it take for y’all to give a shit. Mohammed Ayesh works daily in the line of fire transporting injured Palestinians from their bombed tents to the nearest hospitals for treatment. Then he walks for miles sometimes to talk to and verify Palestinian families’ campaigns when he’s off work. This has been his reality for the past few months.
We’ve only raised a bit over £100 today. This is shameful. There was literally a tank that stopped right next to where Mohammed and his family were hiding this morning (including his kid brother, whose eardrums burst a decade ago when he was an infant under constant iof bombardment).
hey guys I just got off a 12 hour hospital shift. the whole day I’ve been nauseous from a pressing migraine and an ache in my left knee. and I could not keep thinking about Mohammed.
Mohammed has been transporting wounded Palestinians to treatment from their bombed tents to field hospitals for the past year. on top of that he’s also been vetting and promoting hundreds of Palestinian families’ fundraisers and neglecting to promote his own.
israa is a mother to a 2 year old toddler nasser and an infant who was born in the middle of the genocide. her family's tent was bombed and everyone was murdered. her husband was kidnapped by the iof for 8 months. now all she has left is her children and her ailing father. he is scheduled to get surgery but they can't afford it.
this is urgent. they need $800 as soon as possible
i have just heard terrible news from israa - while her daughter has had her second surgery and is recovering, her father, a cancer patient, has taken a turn for the worst and now needs urgent surgery, as he is in a critical condition.
israa needs £2,300 to pay for this new operation, so i'd like to set up this new temporary goal, and hopefully get her father the help he needs - this would have been £16,724.
however, in addition, she needs $100 every day for her daughter's medication, and $200 every day that she goes to the hospital for either her daughter or her father's treatment or accommodation. that's $300 extra costs she needs per day, not even including other daily expenses required like food, or the other expenses she needs to get such as a shader for her tent, or winter clothes for her family.
therefore i have increased the temporary goal to include a week's worth of those expenses - that would be $2,100, which would be £1,623
so let's please focus on this new temporary goal, which also happens to get her closer to the campaign's maximum goal
