Anniversary Tournament
Last year for Doctor Who's anniversary I ran a tournament between Doctor Who stories, and I wanted to so something different again this year. A tournament between real people important to the history of Doctor Who, actors, writers, producers, directors, composers, production designers. Technically it'll be a tournament for the most infuential person to Doctor Who and its development over the years, but really I want it to be a celebration of all of these people, and not just the winner.
To that end, the nomination form, you can also submit nominations normally, ie sending me an ask or replying to this post, however I won't be accepting propaganda through those methods.
I'm thinking I'll close nominations on the 18th of November, that might change but probably not by much
Current Nominations:
this is the last update of the list that they'll be for a few days, so if you send someone in later don't worry when they don't show up. They'll probably remain open for a couple of days after the 18th, depends how quickly I can get through the rest of the prep stuff I need to do, I just haven't had time, and wont have time till Monday, or possibly Sunday night. I really want to get started by the 23rd at the absolute latest, but that might go out of the window as well because of circumstances outside my control
okay so update, I'm going to be without my laptop until roughly next Sunday, so the 23rd has gone out the window, but will try to get started ASAP after that

#those circumstances being my laptop is bust and going for repairs today#since its just a problem with the case hopfully it gets fixed quickly but who knows#even if its fixed and returned by the end of today I won't have access to it till sunday#since i will not be at home#im quite limited in what I can do on my phone#with luck i might be able to get a point where I can get everything done in a day#we'll see#anyway

#i voted for mr smith cause i know the dogs winning#but mr smith deserves votes he IS that bitch#evil crystal computer that they brainwipe at the end of s1 to be Nice and that’s just like. fine with everyone forever. this has#zero consequences. the fact that he once tried to blow up the moon using sarah jane’s son does not stop him from being family.#he really is so fucking funny in every way. he hates that dog and fights with him constantly and he’s *losing* to the dog. btw.#sarah jane named him mr smith because she’s normal and has a normal relationship to the doctor shaped hole in her life where societal#expectations say she should have filled with a husband by now. so normal what’s going on with them.#he does a dramatic reveal of himself every episode. it’s amazing. you don’t get better than that. #<- i have to add to that last one: he literally has a wholeass fanfare that he plays EVERY time#and TWO DIFFERENT sources have confirmed that it IS in fact diegetic rather than NON diegetic#(aka its not just part of the soundtrack and the characters CAN hear it)#which is INCREDIBLE#he literally plays that fanfare Every Time They Call Him ON PURPOSE (@doctorwhoisadhd)
