We had a very fun oneshot with some of the Dragonlance crew, and I got to run my first bard! Woodwind, a warforged College of Whispers Bard. :) She also has a flute, but the imagery of a wind chime headpiece struck me so fast I had to commit to it. She was very fun to play, very poised and spooky, and definitely a PC I’ll play again when possible.

Thank you @residentmonsterappreciator for the ask that tumblr promptly ate! You asked about Faustin’s design inspiration, and theres quite a few motifs that I wanted to work in from the start. The absolute joy of designing non-human characters, especially robotic characters, is that you can work in basically whatever design elements you want??? So I kinda went ham! And I swear to god — his design started with my cat.

Faustin, convalescing shortly after the accident, and recently post-surgery (I imagine that warforged post-op requires bracers and brackets, as opposed to casts and stitches). He spent his recovery at the Abbey, and while Jon was away with work and looking for a healer who could do more for him, they spent a lot of time writing letters back and forth, just as they did when they first met.

I love drawing Faustin as the beautiful dandy he is, but that just makes the moments where he cuts loose all the more satisfying.
And Leslie is our cleric who has taken more bullets for us than they probably should — but that’s just how they are and I LOVE them for it. Me and @oh-thats-neat love just postulating on Potential Player Bad Endings, and this was us indulging in that. In this case, high cleric Leslie who will fight the war for warforged rights and win.
