Super excited to meet Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman tomorrow at Awesome Con! Here is the watercolor painting I’m giving Jenna. I will post Peter’s later (I’m still putting the final touches on it).
And they both lived happily ever after.

Now, if I ever have any free time this summer, I hope to do a large-scale watercolor version of this. Hope you enjoy:)
It’s you.
Hello, Sweetie.
Can’t wait to see these two together at Christmas...
“Just See Me” by cmartlover
Medium: Watercolor
Description: So, Doctor Who tumblr posted a challenge allowing people to submit artwork from Series 8 to be potentially featured at SDCC. This is my submission. I wanted to do something that seemed representative of the series, and this is what I came up with. It sort of illustrates the Doctor and Clara's relationship and how it changed over the series. The foreground image is from Deep Breath, when the Doctor pleads to Clara, “Just see me,”and the background faces are from Dark Water, when the Doctor says, "Do you really think I care for you so little that betraying me would even make a difference?"
Happy River Song Day!
So, this is my contribution. I brought it to Awesome Con today fully intending to give it to Alex Kingston, but she told me that because it was so large, she unfortunately wouldn’t be able to take it home on the plane. However, she did love it and signed it for me for free even though I had already used up my paid autograph.
Interestingly enough, I found out that the portrait I had wanted to give her when I saw Macbeth (which I wasn’t able to give to her, but gave to the workers at the armory to give to her) is currently in a box in her house (because she just moved). She had to look at the picture for a few seconds; at first she wasn’t sure if she recognized it, but she concluded that it was definitely in her house. Considering I had no idea if she’d ever got it, let alone kept it, this was a pleasant surprise and really touching.
This is the portrait, which is made completely of River Song quotes from all of her episodes (also from memory).
She complimented my artistic talent (I can’t remember exactly what she said), and asked if this was what I wanted to after I graduate and whether I was attending an art school. I told her yes, that I had just finished my first year of community college and would be transfering to a four-year university and studying art.
I told her that I had seen her in Macbeth last year. And she was like, “You went to New York?” And I just smiled and said yes, I had. She thanked me for coming and said it had been one of the most incredible experiences of her life working there and she’s very excited about doing it again (in the movie).
Even though I couldn’t give her the portrait, I still gave her a letter and a print out of the picture (from last year). My little sister gave her a small weaving of River Song, and she was like “Oh, that’s so sweet. How long did it take you?”
She also signed my photo op pic from yesterday:
Later in the day, we got a dual photo op with her and Arthur (which is a whole other story in itself), and I went straight over to her and she wrapped her arm around me and said “Lovely to see you again,” which means she remembered me from earlier and that totally made my day.
Point is, Alex Kingston is one of the warmest, kindest people I have ever met. I was genuinely surprised how down to earth she was, and how far she went to engage every fan, which really put me at ease. It was a great experience! And it was amazing to spend time with River Song herself on River Song Day!
In light of today’s photo...here’s my 11/River WIP

The Doctor and River Song-- made for Matt Smith and Alex Kingston entirely out of quotes their characters have said in every one of their episodes.
