FAQ:

How does this blog even work? - If you want to promote your blog, hop over to the submissions tab (it says “Introduce Yourself”) and answer the questions there. The submission will go into our queue and will be posted soon! If you want to find new friends in the fandom, just follow the blog or scroll through the archives and you’ll hopefully see exciting new blogs introducing themselves.

Who are you, anyway? - I’m Aurelia, my main is lurking-latinist. I’m just doing the administrative work to make this blog exist, I’m not in charge of anything in particular!

What do you mean by Classic Who and DWEU? - Classic Who is the version of Doctor Who that aired before the 2005 revival. The DWEU (Doctor Who Expanded Universe) consists of the many BBC-authorized and not-technically-not-authorized audio dramas, novels, short stories, and graphic novels that also tell Doctor Who-related stories, including spinoffs like Bernice Summerfield, Gallifrey, The Diary of River Song, and Jago & Litefoot. I’m going to make a somewhat arbitrary decision and say that this blog isn’t focused on the televised spinoffs Torchwood, Class, or the Sarah Jane Adventures, since those are bigger and have their own fandom spaces. (Of course, if you post about those and Classic/DWEU, this blog is for you!)

I post about other things too, is that ok? - Absolutely! As long as you regularly post about Classic Who and/or the DWEU, even if you post about lots of other topics, it’s perfectly fine to submit your profile. In fact, I bet lots of us have more than one fandom or interest in common!

I’m not a content creator, is that ok? - As long as you post something--whether that’s fic, art, memes, headcanons, weird TARDISwiki facts, rambles in the tags, reblogs with comments, or anything else--then please do submit your profile! Transformative work, commentary, encouragement, and information are all valuable contributions to fandom.

I’m brand new, is that ok? - Again, as long as your blog isn’t completely empty, feel free to submit your profile!

I rarely watch Classic Who or any doctor who at all, I mostly just hang out, but I do reblog a lot. It’s likely that soon I will be interested in something completely else instead. In fact I was in the classic who fandom even before watching the show, due to MLP memes about Doctor Whooves. Often I’m more interested in it academically, and thus propably will end up doing something completely else instead.

Usually I don’t really tend to care about the Doctor or the companions. And if I do it’s just temporary.

Is it mostly Luvic of Traken that I’m currently mostly invested in, even if it will propably change soon. As I feel that I’m propably more academically interested in him than anything else. Usually when I’m interested in something it only lasts about an year and then there’s no curiosity.

Yes, I have seen Logopolis, I just deem this to be one of the shows where Everything Can Come Back.

A lot of Doctor who that I post is thus, late four early Fivey.

Other than Doctor who I often post Pokémon (and pokemiku) and the sims.

But I often feel like I only post about those three fandoms the most, and that I was in those three fandoms the most and for the most time, not because I like the three of them the most, but because they had the most content.

- Are there particular characters or relationships you focus on: Thoschei is my big Doctor Who ship. For characters, I tend to focus on Five, Seven, and Eight. I do also talk about other characters as well.

- Is your blog safe for minors (yes, no, usually but no guarantees?): Usually, but no guarantees. There’s some mention of sexuality (some nsfw text), and I do post body horror/gore sometimes. I’m inconsistent about tagging. Proceed with caution.

- What do you wish people would ask you more about: Anything Doctor Who related, really!

- Non-DW topics or interests that you also post a lot about: Star Trek (mainly DS9 and TOS), Hannibal, anime (Gundam, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist), video games (Fire Emblem, Ace Attorney), and anything else that I happen to be reading/watching.

- What type of content do you make: I make fanart. And incoherent commentaries on reblogs sometimes, if that counts. Want to try and write some fanfic too.

- Are there particular characters or relationships you focus on: My favourite Doctors are the seventh and the first. My favourite companions are Ace and Barbara. I'm "Barbarian" trash (It's Barbara/Ian, get it?) and I love the relationship between the Doctor and Ace.

- What do you wish people would ask you more about: the Watermen from Q20. I love those silly little guys so much I'm doing worldbuilding for them. Help.

Im mainly a brax&all guy and my fave dynamics include benny&brax, john/brax, and brax&Jason (all non romantic, pls don’t talk about them being romantic with me) and besides brax I like almost every benny character!! My faves are Maggie Matsumoto, Bev, Jason, Avril and Benny

Hi, I am pretty new to Tumblr and my blog isn't exclusively Doctor Who but I like blogging about Doctor Who stuff and sometimes post dw thoughts or pictures if my fan stuff. - Are there particular characters or relationships you focus on: Relationships: Thasmin, Fifth Doctor and Nyssa on Big Finish (I call them "Team Nerd"). Characters: NYSSA, but really I'm fond of every classic companion from Ace to Polly to Evelyn Smythe. (I like the new companions too, I just haven't known them as long, and/or I still need to catch up on most of S2-7).

- Is your blog safe for minors: Er. 99% yes?  My blog may have occasional swearing or mentions of sexuality, but what characters get up to in private? That's what AO3 is for and I'm not telling you my sekrit pseud for that.

- What do you wish people would ask you more about: I get excited when I see younger fans discovering and enjoying classic Who despite it being, you know, slow and a bit hokey compared to modern SF, Also: Who reflects the time in which it was made, in the past century as much as now. I may be able to give you some insights about classic Who from the perspective of a living fossil someone who lived through those times. On the other hand, I haven't seen a lot of classic Who since I was a child or a naive 80s teen. So I'm constantly learning things about stories and characters I've loved for decades through the fresh eyes of newer fans. :)

- Non-DW topics or interests that you also post a lot about: @circular-time is almost all Doctor Who, but I'll drop in the odd Blake's 7 or post that was probably meant for one of my other blogs. My primary blog @auronlu is for Final Fantasy/gaming; it's dormant, but Tumblr won't let me anoint a different blog as primary so you may see replies/likes from there. @pumpkin-belly is for my cat; @x-cetra is for shitposts miscellaneous fandoms (mostly Trek and LOTR), geology, space, Egypt, and archaeology, progressive politics, and quite a lot of dumb Tumblr humor.
