The first two Animal Crossing games came out when I was deep in an edgy-for-edgy’s-sake phase. I shipped my villager with octopuses because lol tentacles and made my house into a Silent Hill cannibal butchershop implied to craft items out of dead people. It was cynical, juvenile and thank you Nintendo for giving me the power to do it again in higher definition
The fact that you can place individual pattern tiles wherever you want on your floor really opens the floodgates of possibilities
In fact my interest has already moved on to some totally different motifs but I’ll share these sometime soonly
