Honestly though, I love how adoring WISE agents are to Twilight and how they see how attached he is to Anya. It could have very easily been the more detached and coldness that Twilight initially started out with.
*MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD*
Yeah, I think everyone at WISE just find it extremely funny the one spy they’ve worshipped for so long gets bamboozled by a 6 year old gremlin child. And that Twilight ‘in action’ on a mission involves him getting koala-ed by his daughter.
Twilight is also breaking all the Spy Rules with Anya, but WISE seem to let him and in Sylvia’s case, encourage it. As you mentioned, it’s cute seeing Twilight go soft, but also seeing The Man Who Knows Everything be complete clueless (?)/ in denial adds a whole new dimension to how they see him.
Operation Strix makes the spies at WISE see Twilight as a human being rather than just a legend, at the same time when Twilight himself is learning the same. He’s not the cold and detached weapon he’s made out to be, but a man with a soft and gooey center who can care after all.
But also, again, because it’s very funny watching Twilight be a flailing mess.
