Ok, so. I had a horrible idea.
But what if the family is out and about one day and they meet a woman. Kinda frail looking. One of those people who looks like they could be knocked down with a strong gust of wind. Normally wouldn't be a big deal.
Except she keeps staring at Anya.
She realizes that they know she's staring and apologizes. It's just that Anya looks so much like her lost little girl.
Loid has minor "oh crap" moment as she makes small talk. But when she mentions that her child would've been four Yor points out that Anya is 6. So Loid calms down. She tells them about her baby, how she got horribly sick one day, took her to a hospital and never saw her again. The doctors had told her there was nothing they could do.
She apologizes for bringing up a sad story and bids them farewell. But as she leaves Anya grabs her sleeve in tears.
"Anya is a good girl! I like peanuts and hate carrots! And-"
And all the woman can do is smile and wave as they split apart.
