Mastermind Trial: How To
So, now that the majority of the living have agreed on a mastermind trial, we will be entering that portion of the trial! This is going to be a brief OOC post on how that’s going to work.
The mastermind trial overrides the regular trial. Should you catch the mastermind, unless they’re also the killer for that case, the actual murderer will not face an execution, and will leave with the rest of you. If you don’t catch the mastermind, whoever you wrongly accused will be executed, becoming the execution victim for that chapter. So try to get it right!
Discussion is vital. Even if you think you know for sure who the mastermind is, make sure you go over every last thing you can think of! Put everything out on the table, because this is a trial that will determine whether or not more people will leave here alive.
Mastermind votes cannot be changed. Once you've sent yours in, you've sent it in for good, so vote wisely.
The mastermind trial will go until Sunday. In the case you guess right, we'll have a brief endgame pause to get everything we'll need together. Please be patient for that!
A very important thing to know about this trial: The dead have a vote. Dead students can't converse with the living, but their votes ultimately count towards finding the mastermind. If you're dead, vote from the dead blog!
And as always, remember that IC does not equal OOC! Just because a character does something nasty to yours IC, doesn't mean the mun has something against you! It's important to remember these things around times like this.
