Beautiful candid picture of Errol Flynn and Eleanor Parker. He was an avid reader, that’s for sure!
Nunca me parezco a mí.
One of my favorite westerns, Escape from Fort Bravo (1953, John Sturges), starring the fabulous Eleanor Parker and the great William Holden. A much overlooked western with incredible tension, action and romance. I've never seen a grittier battle with the Indians which, unlike many other westerns, are presented as witty brave warriors when in combat. I also love the soundtrack and the melancholic tune of Soothe My Lonely Heart. Unforgettable.
In fond remembrance of Eleanor Parker, a very gifted actress sometimes overshadowed by her amazing beauty. My grandmother adored her movies and so do I. All my childhood memories are filled with images of Eleanor as a genuine adventuress in such gems as Scaramouche, The Naked Jungle, Many Rivers to Cross or Escape from Fort Bravo. Those were the movie lessons of a strong romantic woman who filled the screen with class. The true baroness of cinema. You'll be fondly remember, Eleanor.
