MISS ESMERALDAAA!!! that cliffhanger ending has me on edge but holy shit was this an absolute astounding chapter. the intensity of the dialogue had me so immersed into this chapter, I just couldn’t wait to read what was going to come next. Aberama is actual scum in this story and I do kinda hope Esmeralda will take him out bc of this all ultimately comes back to him. both Esmeralda’s suffering and that of her mother were all a result of Aberama’s ego and they both deserve proper justice 🙌🏽 amazing chapter as always, beyond hooked on this incredible story.

but to speak about this chapter. firstly, I adore the relationship thar Esmeralda has w little Charlie as well as Polly; if only things had occurred differently.

“Just a few miles into the Lee territory, she saw Esme waiting for her with two horses.” I internally squealed at this part bc ESMEEE. I’m so intrigued as to whether Esmeralda will truly go through w the plan bc although I know Tommy deserve his karma, I don’t know if she’d be able to cope w the storm this would bring down onto her.

“And that he’d just seen a glimpse of what Esmeralda had become. She was fearless of consequences and fearless of death.” PLS I am so proud of her growth as a character. she’s grown so much over the last few chapters with her strength and resilience and I feel so proud of her for it. I think having proper knowledge of her mother has kinda helped her to feel somewhat better about herself and her 'identity’ in a way.

“Robert continued, “He is new sir, and doesn’t know a lot of the routes yet. If Madame had told me earlier she was visiting the Lee territory I would have taken her myself…” ROBERT YOU SNITCH. I’m a little anxious for Esmeralda bc tommy is definitely going to be dead curious about why she was visiting Lee territory, especially bc he has his fair amount of knowledge around them.

such an amazing chapter as usual and I am so hooked on this story it’s kinda crazy, I find myself both rooting for Esmeralda’s vengeance but also wanting to see what could be w her + Tommy. brilliant as always ❤
