"The Set Table." A still life photograph taken using the physautoype method which was developed in collaboration between Louis Daguerre and Nicéphore Niépce, 1832. Believed to be the earliest surviving photo of many things including: a bottle, a vase, a coffee pot, a bowl, a goblet, a table, a tablecloth, a piece of bread, a knife, a spoon, and flowers. The original plate was lost around a century ago.
