Typengreif labels (via Lars Schwarz and Klaus Neukirch) “When I worked in Germany, we used a special vacuum cleaner, called a Typengreif, which has a set of switches for different sizes of type and basically has a rubber nose with a fine mesh screen inside which sucks up the type without damaging it. All the dust is cleared away and with a flap on the back of the nose you would release the type into the tray. One could move and clean a tray of type in about 20 minutes.” — Charles Mohr
