Holy crap amazing cosplays
Here’s my cosplay lineup for New York Comic Con this weekend! It’s a bit eclectic, as you can see, but so am I. If you’re at NYCC, I’ll be in Artist Alley helping Christopher Jones most of the time, so stop by booth D9 and say hi!
If you're at NYCC visiting Chris, look for these costumes and say Hello to me too. Warning: I'm really awkward. Nothing personal!
I love seeing cosplayers of all stripes at conventions, and enjoy sharing their photos online. Sometimes I see comments on photos criticizing the costume or the person wearing it - I delete those immediately. They make me shake my head because those people are CLEARLY missing the point…
I made a Young Justice role playing/scavenger hunt game that will be free to play at C2E2. If it goes smoothly and is popular enough, I will also bring it to NYCC, and possibly other conventions.
The game's base of operations will be Young Justice comic artist Christopher Jones' table in Artists Alley, which is table B7.
See you there!
OK I am pretty much definitely going to be running a Young Justice themed scavenger hunt-type game from Christopher Jones' table at C2E2.
Send me an ask if you want to help me write some missions. I have several already but I could use ideas for more.
And the prize for completing missions is going to be pretty neat, too.
(And yes, if it goes well, I'll bring it to NYCC as well.)
Stay tuned for further details.
I've thought about this kind of arrangement myself more than once. Hotels are EXPENSIVE. There aren't a whole lot of big conventions in Minnesota, though. There are a lot of conventions. And I mean A LOT of conventions. Just, not a lot of big ones. The biggest is ~6,000 people.
So I was thinking of developing like a Young justice-themed scavenger hunt-type game for C2E2 that would be based from Christopher Jones' booth.
Wondering how many people would be interested in playing? Or if anybody would be interested in designing the game with me?
I mean it would probably just be a dumb thing that like 10 or 15 people would do but it would be OUR dumb thing that 10 or 15 people would do :D
and we could make like little rewards for completing it like badge swag or whatever... ribbons or pins I mean and if it worked we could do it at NYCC too.
OK, I have another poll.
If at comics conventions in 2013, ChristopherJonesArt were going to be giving away a special freebie to Young Justice fans, what from this list would you like it to be? Pick first and second choice, please.
- A Mini art print (~postcard size)
- A bookmark
- An embossed ribbon
- A 1" button
- A sticker
- Something else? (Must be inexpensive to mass-produce.)
What do you guys think of my genderbent femme Superboy?
(Smallville fans might appreciate the red Kryptonite necklace...)
