Movie theater shenanigans after watching Star Trek.
Went to the Dali museum yesterday. "Sugar Sphinx" (top photo) was one of my favorite pieces there. Sad that there are only two galleries there but still a good experience :D.
Finally went to the state fair on the last night :). Yummy food and pretty sights.
Finally got a day off to see Wicked on opening night. So so so good!!!!!! Best money I've spent in a while :).
Yay yay yay yay!! It FINALLY came in the mail today. My official letter of acceptance along with a very cute gator flash dive <3.
I went to bed last night, anxious about the results of today. I was worried that I would have to go to work this morning with no confirmation of my future. I woke up several times in the night, checking my cell to see what time it was and if I had missed any calls. It was finally 7:26 am when the home phone rang. I was not expecting them to call the land line. I crawled out of bed, made my way to the phone in the dining room and saw a 727 area code. St. Pete? No, I am waiting for a Gainesville area code: 352. I silenced the call and went back into my room. I laid in bed, thinking to myself, "What if that was them? What if it was someone just using their cell phone?" I was about to call back when I heard the home phone ring again. I went out into the dining room and my aunt told me it was the same number. I answered, holding my breath. "Is this Christina?" "Yes." "What's your last name?" What's my last name?! Shouldn't you know if you are calling about my interview?? "How do you say it?" "Oh it's pronounced Choe." She went on introducing herself as the dental student who was at my interview. My heart soared and a huge burden was off my shoulder. I knew she was calling to congratulate me for earning a seat in the c/o 2017 for UFCD. I can now sleep easy tonight. I shall play to my hearts content for the next few months, because when August comes, it's time for business!!
Four years ago I remember voting for the very first time. I received my absentee ballot in the mail. I'm pretty sure I filled it out incorrectly and my ballot was dismissed but it still felt awesome to exercise my right to vote. Then election day rolled around and I remember where I was when Obama was declared president. I was sitting on the ground floor of Library West, studying with a couple of friends. The intercom came on, announcing the much anticipated result. The very quiet floor was filled with cheers and excitement. After the library closed, I went to my dorm and I live right on the edge of campus aka right next to all the bars. I got no sleep that night because of all the honking cars and rambunctious (I can't believe I spelled that right the first time around!) students. Now, four years later, I'm sitting in my parent's living room, debating whether or not I want to vote. The day went by quickly and it was already 6pm. I could not help but grab my mom's car keys and drive to a church 5 minutes away. The line looked short but was deceiving for sure. I waited 45 minutes. I held my breath as a volunteer scanned my license. Was I at the wrong location? Please don't make me go somewhere else to vote. I was in! I grabbed my ballot, got a pen, and bubbled in like I was taking the SATs. It's around 11:30 and I am watching Korean TV, as my brother announces that Obama has won another four years. I jumped on my laptop right away to confirm the results on Google. And there it was. My confirmation. That and the hundreds of FB statuses I read afterwards. The most memorable status, I must say, is someone who said something about how there would be more homosexuals in the country now because of Obama. I immediately defriended him. Regardless of who is president and what his policies are on the matter, that comment was uncalled for. I could say so much more but I'll just keep it at that.
Late night sketchy pow wow McDonald's run with the bride and groom after the reception. Oh the memories~ I wish them luck on their new life together in Texas. Mmm...BBQ.

This week I am borrowing Dr. Peter's camera for graduation pictures and I thought I would give it a whirl. Love the lens :D! I took pictures of Naomi, Miso, and made Dr. Edythe a birthday card with the help of Naomi :). I came home and took more pictures of my new graduation heels and Minnie. This picture was taken right before she was found guilty of going through Eunice's trash...AGAIN!
