I'm back on my autism induced monster/cryptid hyperfixation bullshit so have TMR characters as creatures
Thomas: Nixie (Nixy, Nix, Näcken, Naiad, Nicor, Nøkk, or Nøkken) – Guardians of freshwater streams and lakes, they are bound to the body of water they dwell in. Commonly spotted alone and are identified by the water continously streaming from their hair and clothes as well as the greenish sheen of their skin. They are amphibious and have legs as opposed to a tail. They are incredibly curious about land dwellers and much like dryads cannot venture far from their pools.
Newt: Dryad – (Because of the straying from the original mythos treefolk is more of an apt name) Originates from Greek Mythos, originally only female however some stories in the modern age allow for them to be male, this is where the term treefolk arises. Very few are sentient, these treefolk can take on a humanoid form and move a short distance from their tree. Treefolk will vary in appearance and personality based on the tree species.
Minho: Dokkaebi – legendary creatures from Korean mythology and folklore. Also known as "Korean goblins", are nature deities or spirits possessing extraordinary powers and abilities that are used to interact with humans, at times playing tricks on them and at times helping them.Legends describe different dokkaebi in many forms and beings with a thousand faces, and dokkaebi often wear hanbok.

Ok I need to talk about a beautiful piece of character development that I’m kinda said we didn’t get to see the transition stage of.
Gally in the Maze Runner was like this with the Gladers:
And he was like this with Thomas:
And then he got the stingaling and got all:
Now, the movies didn’t outright incorporate the chippy dodah’s they had in their heads that let Wicked control them and repress their memories, but when we again encounter Gally some time later he is so different that I can’t help but wonder how altered wicked had made him. Because look look look at this. He went from shoving Thomas into a new Hemisphere and punching him in the face to TAKING a punch with NO retaliation.
And look at his face, look at his Adam’s apple bob, he doesn’t try to defend himself, he’s saying “Do it. Do it, I deserve it.” And IT BREAKS MY HEART. He used to be so assertive, and it shines through here and there like when he interrogates Teresa (which 1: haha you traitorous wench! And 2: omg he was so hot. I AM looking at you Gally, I ain’t looking at nobody BUT you!) but when he’s interacting with Thomas, Newt and Minho he’s more unsure and submissive.
And there’s something I really really really admire about his attitude here.
Idk man, I just have a lot of Gally feels. I think he needs a hug and I volunteer for that.

Minally Headcanons
(Some of these are just about minho or gally some of them are about their relashionship)
(I am so autistic about this ship)
• Minho HATES olives
• Gally loves them
• Gally often doesn’t trust himself or his mind because of being stung.
- He thinks he’ll snap and hurt/kill someone like he did with chuck.
• Minho is the same way, but instead thinks everything is a trick, and one day he’ll wake up.
- He often thinks he’s imagining Gally or that he’s a hallucination.
• Whenever that happens Gally will hold him, it helps Minho realize that he’s really there.
• Minho will often dissociate
- Dissociation is usually triggered by storms or needles but it will occasionally happen at random.
• Gally can’t hold guns without having a panic attack, and he will flinch if he hears one fire.
- This also happens when he sees fire
• Minho is shorter than Gally and it drives him CRAZY.
