If BOTW Zelda was summoned in HWAOC timeline and met her other pre-Calamity self, they have to figure out how to call each other to avoid confusions right?

Hey, so I've got a massive question for you. If I wanted to read a Zelink fic, which would you recommend that has the following: 1) Good plot 2) A good relationship. Not just people pushing characters together. Give me some of that oh so good relationship development! 3) Optional adult content. Not necessary, but always fun to read 😂 You can totally plug yourself or gush about someone else's writing! I don't know anybody irl who likes Zelink, so I was hoping to get your opinion 😄
Hooo boy, I'm about to unleash the floodgates because the fics that I mentioned here weren't enough!
Full disclosure: I'm more into BOTW and HWAOC (and just started on SS) centric fics coz these are the only Zelda games that I've played so far.
Ongoing fics:
- To Hold the Sun (E) by @obsidiangst & @pastelsandpining - This is a Zonai AU, and pretty much an underused AU considering how that tribe seems to be the main focus in BOTW2. It has a really good plot, also lore-heavy. Link is a Zonai chief while Zelda is a sheltered Hylian Princess, pretty much like her BOTW counterpart.
- To Learn to Feel Alive (T) by @wwwhttps - set post-BOTW where Link lost not only his memories but also his emotions - a nod to how Link was totally blank-faced in-game. It has an equal dose of angst and fluff,
and I can't wait to read the epilogue - Dropping the Word (M) by @wanderingnightingalengale - This fic will either make you smile or bawl your eyes out every chapter, 'coz you gotta admit, Zelink's life 100 years ago was very harsh. It's a fic where Link and Zelda had a kid pre-Calamity, and the plot revolves around Link getting his memories back & how he and Zelda searched for clues if their kid survived or not.
- Dance with Me (M) by @deiliamedlini - The author has lots of ongoing Zelink fics that I've bookmarked, but this one is my fave right now! Set pre-BOTW where Link didn't pull the Master Sword and the Calamity never showed up on Zelda's birthday. Also, Link wasn't assigned as Zelda's personal knight but as personal self-defense instructor instead, so their dynamics are pretty similar in-game.
- The Golden Chain (M) @zeldadiarist - One of the most underrated Zelink fics out there! This is set centuries after BOTW where Zelda was a teacher and Link was a half-Gerudo. They grew up as friends who drifted a bit around college, yet despite their rekindled friendship and them facing another Calamity, these two have been keeping secrets to each other.
- Forgotten Instincts (E) by @farore-or-less - Set during BOTW where Zelda was split into two beings - her goddess side was holding Ganon in the castle while her Hylian side was accompanying an amnesiac Link who can’t even remember her.
- Stolen Kisses (T) by @zeldaelmo - This is like, one of my fave HWAOC fics! Set post-game where Link and Zelda had to hide their relationship due to some bureaucracy stuff, until they couldn’t.
- To Be Seen (E) by @keikbird - Modern AU where Link and Zelda are having dreams/nightmares of their past lives (mostly BOTW and SS)
Completed fics:
- Like Real People Do (E) by ScarlettStorm - Most Zelink fans I know will immediately rec this fic 'coz that's how good this is! Set post-BOTW where Link and Zelda were reacquainting with themselves as they make peace with their past.
- Aftermath (G) by @michpat6 - set post-BOTW and probably one of those few canon compliant fics that is uncannily connected to the sequel, especially how some SS lores were included here. Sometimes I wonder if the author works at Nintendo 🤔
- A Hero Indeed (M) by @silentprincess17 - this is an Anti-Hero AU, another underused AU, where Link is a morally ambiguous Hero who is too faithful to Zelda. If you want a Dark Link, then this a best fic for you.
- All the Trashy Novels (E) by @airplanned - I highly, highly, recommend this fic! It’s hilarious and fluffy with some silly spice in between! Set pre-Blades of Yiga where Zelda found out that Link reads bad porn books, which snowballed to them becoming book buddies
and morelol - Nightmares and Other “ Bad” Dreams (E) by dayhaven - This is one of those fics where “What if Link and Zelda had a relationship pre-Calamity and Link forgot about it?”
- Unstoppable Forces (E) by @softpromise - set centuries after BOTW where Zelda was a missing princess while Link was a knight-in-training.
- Reckless (E) by @wildlybreathless - This is the only Speed Runner Link AU that I’ve actually liked reading a lot! Also Zelda is just as equal gremlin as Link which I absolutely enjoyed
- Regret (E) by @spicychestnut - a fic where Link and Zelda married in secret pre-Calamity & Link forgot about it.
- step, step, close.(E) by @hyperphonic - pre and post-BOTW focusing on Zelink and their blooming relationship as the solstice change.
- princess of the valley (T) by @syilcawrites - post-BOTW where Zelda was the one who lost memories & not Link
- Puppy Love (T) by Liv_andletdie - I don’t seek out TP fics coz I haven’t played the game yet, but this one really drawn me in ‘coz Link was a vet here (a profession that I can see for TP Link) and Zelda has an over-dramatic dog (which is super relatable)
One Shot fics:
- The Great Matchmaker (M) by @ghostgirl19posts - It's a RDR2 AU where Link was an outlaw who wants to “steal” a certain heiress.
- Tokens of Affection (T) by @jenseits-der-sterne - This is one of my comfort fic. Set post-HWAOC where Link was using Terrako as his wingman.
- I will buy the flower shop, and you will never be lonely (M) by @spacebeyonce - another one of my comfort fic, an established Zelink with domesticity. It’s a fic where Link is an amputee (like in the sequel)
- It Beats for Her (T) by zerinkuu - AU where HWAOC Zelda met BOTW Link
I think I missed to mention a few gems here, but then I haven’t finished all of my to-read Zelink fics so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
