5/29/2013: "Big Magic" and I kept a close eye on the Tag World Grand Prix earlier this month. And why wouldn’t we? It’s a tournament that instantly establishes the next challengers for CHIKARA’s Campeonatos de Parejas. As the current campeones, every single detail of that tournament directly involves 3.0.
When it comes to the way things played out in the tournament, I can’t say that I was entirely surprised by what the finals lined up to be. The Young Bucks are always a top choice in any tag team setting. They aren’t considered one of the best tag teams in wrestling today for nothing. And when it comes to The Pieces of Hate, their recent track record speaks for itself. However, when I saw that these two teams would be meeting in the finals I have to admit that I started mentally preparing myself for another war with Matt and Nick Jackson. In the back of my mind I had convinced myself that they would be coming for their championship rematch. I was wrong. Dead wrong.
hat few people may know is that Shane and myself were suppose to be in Chicago for the TWGP event to watch the competition and to wrestle in a non-tournament match. Obviously, by now you all know that was not the case. Why? The reason is very simple. I’m hurt. Pretty bad. Having two demons wrap your ribs around a steel post will do that. The Batiri tried to take me out. They tried to take away the championship that I’ve dedicated 11 years of my life to holding onto. I think I proved that you have to do a whole lot more than break two of my ribs to take the championships away from 3.0.
If I’m not there, Shane will fight with everything he has for the both of us. And I think I proved that even if I’m in more pain than I could ever describe...even if I can hardly breathe, I will hobble back to that ring and I will fight. We have worked way too hard and way too long, proving our detractors wrong every step of the way. Time and time again, no matter how bad the odds are, 3.0 will find a way to win. You two will have to give us everything you have in order to take the championship away from us. We’ve lost them once before. It’s a feeling I don’t ever want to experience again. Jigsaw, Shard, I expect you to bring us your best. And your worst. You can go after my ribs. You can break every last one of them but I promise you this: you will not keep me down.
On June 2nd, live in front of the world on iPay-Per-View, Scott Parker and Shane Matthews are ready to sacrifice everything we have to walk out of Philadelphia with the CHIKARA belts raised proudly over our heads. Are you?

At "Aniversario: Never Compromise" they will challenge current Campeones de Parejas 3.0 for their titles. Will the Pieces of Hate be able to back up their claim and get tag gold around their waists, or will 3.0 be successful in defense number 3.0?
