Incoherence's ROH Debut vs STP at Glory By Honor: Night 2!
He is a riddle wrapped in an enigma. He is a man who has competed for CHIKARA, Dragon Gate USA, EVOLVE, CZW, WXW, FIP, IWA:MS, TNA, HOG, as well as countless other wrestling promotions during his near 20 year career. For our purposes here, he was a member of the ROH roster from 2007-2008 and a member of The Vulture Squad alongside Jack Evans, Ruckus, Julius Smokes, and even Mercedes Martinez! He is Jigsaw, and he is our special guest on this week’s edition of AN HONORABLE MENTION! We talk about Jigsaw’s beginnings in pro wrestling, how he ended up in ROH, and the evolution of his relationship with booker Gabe Sapolosky through the years. Jig opens up about losing the mask and how that came to pass, how things never quite worked for The VS, and who on the ROH roster helped him hone the craft. There is some CHIKARA talk, some FIP talk, reflections on Larry Sweeney, and this is just part one of a conversation that will continue next week! It’s a conversation with Jigsaw on this week’s AHM, brought to you by OPTIONSTRADEKING.COM, PATREON.COM/ANHONORABLEPOD, and presented on the CREATIVE CONTROL NETWORK family of podcasts!

On April 11th of 2011, the wrestling world lost one of its brightest stars, and most beloved individuals: Alex Whybrow aka the legendary ”Sweet n Sour” Larry Sweeney. It was a loss that extended far beyond the confines of a wrestling ring as Alex touched the lives of fans, friends, and co-workers in ways that surpassed a match or a promo.
The joy of his laughter, the care he demonstrated for the people around him, the interest he took in so many avenues besides professional wrestling, all that (and countless other reasons) are why he left an indelible mark on so many lives. It is also why this week’s podcast is dedicated to the memories of Larry Sweeney and his far reaching legacy.
As always, we are brought to you by PATREON.COM/ANHONORABLEPOD and presented on the CREATIVE CONTROL NETWORK family of podcasts, but this week would not be possible without the contributions of Karen Van Den Hende, Bryce Remsburg, Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor, Colin Delaney, Joe Sposto aka Leonard Chikarason, Bobby Dempsey, Rhett Titus, our own Zach Johnson, Peter Melnick, Sal Rinauro, and many others.
Thank you all for helping us share Larry Sweeney’s life with the world, and for ensuring his memory lives on through all who knew him and loved him. Free Match from Ring of Honor: Kevin Steen defends the ROH World Championship against Eddie Kingston in an Anything Goes match, from Boiling Point 2012 (8.11.2012)
Time for trip in the wayback machine to 2012 when ROH kind of partnered with CHIKARA to have a little bit of inter-promotional action that (quite similar to the CZW feud) did not acknowledge what the other side did at all! It was almost as if the CHIKARA show taking place earlier in the day didn't even happen in ROH Land! Regardless of that, the ROH half of the Saturday events marketed as “sYnerGy” provided a plethora of tag team action, the majority of which was a pleasure to behold, and then there was one other match...It's “UNITY” on this week's episode of An Honorable Mention!
Masked independent wrestling star Hallowicked makes his return to Ring of Honor after a seven-year absence to face Mark Haskins at Final Battle Fallout on Dec. 15 in Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena.
Hallowicked, a 17-year veteran, made his ROH debut in 2007. In 2012, he and tag partner Jigsaw upset ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay and Mark Briscoe in a Proving Ground Match, but they came up short in the ensuing title bout.
This will be Hallowicked’s first meeting with Haskins. Haskins, who will be 48 hours removed from a Street Fight against Bully Ray at the Final Battle pay-per-view, has had an outstanding 2019.
Will Haskins end the year on a winning note? Or will Hallowicked make a triumphant return?
300 Twitter followers accumulated, and here we are with another bonus episode! At the request of show friend Stephen J. Sutton, we take a look at Shane Hagadorn's short run in CHIKARA! Eddie Kingston christened him "The Jerk" during the 9 months Shane was a member of the roster, and boy did he aim to earn that moniker in every match. Listen as Shane discusses the feelings he had back in 2005 on the product, and how he reflects on his own attitude now, 13 years later. Suffice it to say, Hags isn't the biggest fan of himself in some ways... In addition to hearing Jeff and Shane delve into the topic, you can also check out our Twitch.TV account, or our official YouTube page, to watch each of the matches discussed in this special bonus episode.

For this year’s Young Lions Cup tournament, CHIKARA will have other wrestling organizations represented amongst the tournaments competitors, very akin to the Young Lions Cup VIII tournament in 2010.
Last night, CHIKARA announced the first four organizations to send representative
Ring of Honor - Based out of Philadelphia, Ring of Honor was started in February 2002. After years of critical acclaim, the organization was purchased by the Sinclair Broadcasting Company in May of 2011 and enjoys partnerships with both New Japan Pro Wrestling and CMLL. Ring of Honor also has a school, the ROH Dojo, currently ran by head trainer Delirious and co-trainers and ROH Dojo graduates Cheeseburger and Will Ferrara.
Limitless Wrestling - Based out of Westbrook, ME. CHIKARA fans may best know the Maine State Posse, who recently competed at “Silence at the Library”, as roster members. Limitless also uses graduates of the New England Pro Wrestling Academy, which boasts such graduates as Sasha Banks, Oney Lorcan, Donovan Dijak, and Warbeard Hanson.
Empire Wrestling Federation - based out of San Bernardino, CA, the organization shares a similar flavor to CHIKARA, mixing colorful characters with a hybrid of pro wrestling styles.
The Academy: School of Professional Wrestling - Based out of Minneapolis, MN, the owners, operators, and head trainers of the Academy are former WWE superstars Ken Kennedy/Anderson and Shawn Daivari. Other trainers include Molly Holly, Ariya Daivari, and former Young Lions Cup champion Arik Cannon.
