A four team elimination bout completes the card for next Saturday’s “Don’t Go To Sleep” event! In this match, each team has the opportunity to earn three points (and thus, a shot at the Campeones de Parejas) in one night, and only one team will leave with points in hand. Two teams have been former Campeones, half of another team holds that distinction as well. Who will come out on top: a team hungry to achieve the gold for the first time, or the arguably hungrier for Campeones looking to get back on top?

When the Season began, The Creatures of the Deep seemed poised to dominate CHIKARA. While scoring some key wins as a team, they never achieved the success many members of the Chikarmy presumed they would. Oceanea and Merlok made it to the finals of the Tag World Grand Prix but fell short. Cajun Crawdad made it to the semi-finals of the Young Lions Cup tournament but was ultimately ousted. None of the four of them won the Infinite Gauntlet and they were eliminated in the opening round of King of Trios. The last Atomicos match with the Creatures together saw them lose to the Colony and Solo Darling. Season 19 may not have been the breakout year for the Creatures of the Deep many expected, but their is immense value in ending the Season with positive momentum. That is exactly what they are looking to gain on December 8th as they face The Colony & Xyberhawx 2000 in four vs four competition.

For whatever reason, Hallowicked felt Boomer Hatfield needed to learn a lesson during the Cibernetico last weekend. Unfortunately for Boomer, Hallowicked was behind him in the batting order, and Hallowicked refused to allow Boomer to tag out when he was on the hands of a beating from Team Beyond. Boomer was the first member of the CHIKARA team eliminated, and ultimately, CHIKARA’s team lost partly because of Hallowicked’s inability to be a team player. If Hallowicked wants to teach Boomer whatever form of lesson he deems necessary, he’ll get his chance in a one-on-one match on December 8th. This also gives Boomer the chance to unleash whatever anger may reside in him due to Hallowicked’s inaction during the Cibernetico, and could result in the biggest win of his very young career. The longest tenured member of the roster takes on the shortest tenured member of the roster at the Season 19 finale!

Lucas Calhoun took a hiatus during the Summer of 2017 when Jeremy Leary provided undeniable proof he was a clone. After witnessing the introduction of The Proteus Wheel and Professor Nicodemus, Leary stated he found his purpose: to rid CHIKARA of them. Calhoun has spent the balance of Season 19 doing his best to rid of them, using fellow Volgar quotients Jeremy Leary and BMD with mixed results, even recruiting Blanche Babish into the fold. In October, Calhoun, Leary, and Babish were a united front ready to face the Proteus Wheel when an unexpected twist occurred. A man identifying himself as Axel Ford came into the ring before the start of the match in the hopes of speaking with Lucas Calhoun when Missile Assault Man rushed the ring to attack Ford. Missile had not been seen since the Season 18 finale when a whisper from Professor Nicodemus put him in a trance and saw him walk out of the Wrestle Factory, supposedly for good. This led to a chaotic brawl that prevented the trios match from occurring, but Missile uttered “Calhoun” when eyeing his former tag partner, showing he did have some memory of his time in CHIKARA.

Missile Assault Man and Lucas Calhoun were pitted against one another in a singles match one month later, with Calhoun telling Missile in so many words that he was hoping to get through to him by facing one another. The match ended in a disqualification when the Proteus Wheel attacked. Professor Nicodemus yelled at Missile Assault Man during the beatdown that he is nothing more than thoughts from the Journal of Axel Ford, leading viewers to believe that Missile Assault Man was brainwashed into believing the experiences of Axel Ford were his own, and the journal was penned by the man who identified himself as the real Axel Ford the previous month. When the dust cleared, Missile told Calhoun that together they would rid of the Proteus Wheel. Two weeks later, Axel Ford would return and with Calhoun successfully defeat Hermit Crab and Cajun Crawdad in tag team action.

Calhoun is hoping to end Season 19 with the same goal he set at the beginning: to rid CHIKARA of the Proteus Wheel. Missile Assault Man and Axel Ford are two people Calhoun admits may not be with him, but they also aren’t against him, and may be just who he needs to get the job done. All of this comes to a head on December 8th when Calhoun, Missile Assault Man, and Axel Ford battle the Proteus Wheel.

So far,  Dasher Hatfield has successfully defended the Grand Championship as interim champion on behalf of his step-cousin-in-law “Mr. Touchdown” Mark Angelosetti against Travis Huckabee, Sloan Caprice, and The Whisper. The next challenger waiting in the wings will challenge Hatfield on December 8th - Ophidian! Ophidian just earned his third point this past Saturday and is wasting no time cashing in. This will be the second time Ophidian has challenged for the title this year after unsuccessfully challenging Juan Francisco de Coronado in March, and his third overall attempt at the title (he unsuccessfully challenged Hallowicked in November of 2016.) These two have wrestled in singles competition on four separate occasions, with Dasher taking 3 of the 4 bouts. Will history repeat itself with Dasher ending Season 19 with Angelosetti’s title still in his grasp, or is the third time the snake charm for Ophidian’s Grand Championship goal?

By nature of winning “La Lotería Letal” last month, Princess KimberLee & The Whisper have earned a Campeonatos de Parejas opportunity and will be cashing in on December 8th. The Whisper originally appeared in Season 17, holding a secret over Princess KimberLee’s head, manipulating her under threat of revealing her secret to the CHIKARMY. The weight of this threat became too much for KimberLee to bear and she quit CHIKARA altogether. She would return this past April, but the Whisper has not forgotten, reminding her of that very threat before their first round match of “La Lotería Letal” as seen here. It could be more than the tag team titles hanging in the balance - Princess KimberLee’s secret could be in jeopardy if she fails to win the titles for herself and her oppressor. Can this team get the job done, or will the Regime be successful in their fourth overall title defense?
