Doctor Who season two bloopers.
imagine a young rose tyler being given a stuffed toy for her birthday and just saying how it’s the ‘best gift ever, mummy, thank you!’…not knowing jackie couldn’t really afford much else and breaking her mother’s heart in her joyful response.
imagine a teenage rose tyler being given a stuffed toy for her birthday and thinking it adorable because her future rockstar boyfriend gave it to her…not knowing jimmy stone found it in a discount store at the last minute when he remembered it was some special day for her.
imagine a 20-something rose tyler finding a stuffed toy on her bed for her birthday, in this mansion that will probably never feel like home, and hugging it to her chest because he’s not there with her…not knowing in another universe, a lonely spaceman was wondering if she was smiling because the universe needed her smiles.
imagine a 30-something rose tyler finding a stuffed toy outside her bedroom door and so much noise coming from her kitchen that she quickly runs to see what is going on…not knowing her husband and kids were preparing breakfast for her special day.
and as rose tyler stands there, hugging the stuffed toy and watching her husband and her kids as they destroy her kitchen in their quest to make the ‘best breakfast ever!’ (cause every adventure needs a title like that)…she thinks back to all her birthdays, some which were filled with joy and so many with sorrow, she wonders what good thing she must have done to deserve all this happiness in her life now.
‘thank you for being born, rose tyler.’
‘i don’t think i had much to do with that, doctor.’
‘well, true but thank you for existing in the same universe as me.’
‘i should be thanking you for that.’
‘i am pretty impressive aren’t i?’
'just a bit. but doctor, can i ask you something?’
'anything, rose tyler.’
'do i really have to eat that? it seems not so good.’
and as they laugh and go out to eat somewhere nice, rose tyler can’t stop thanking all the universes for giving her this one.
(this stuffed toy gets a special place on their bed because it was given to her by her kids…which explains why it’s wearing a little suit)
((the doctor gives her something a little less kid-friendly but a bit more fun…'well, it can be considered a teddy.’ 'you’re such an idiot!’))
