Hardy could have sworn he wasn’t alone when he discovered Pippa’s body. A strange woman guided him there, through the river. She couldn’t save the girl, but kept the body safe. When EMTs arrive, they use words like “acute stress”, “shock”, “hallucinations”. But a song haunts him and he’s drawn to the shores.
A few years later, when he’s assigned to cold cases because of his heart condition, he stumbles upon the file of a young woman who disappeared in the river. And then finds several similar cases all with matching descriptions of the victim. But the cases span decades…
Episode 1 – Rose
Kicking the entire franchise off with bins that kill people. Rose is already a big fave and I feel at home in 2005.
Paul McGann in Every Role (that I can find a DVD/Download of) –> Colin in Screen Two (1990)
I understand pressure. Everyday I’ve got pressure, got these characters on me back. Everybody wants the punchlines. Nobody wants to be a cameo anymore.
Just
a
reminder
that
the
Ninth
Doctor’s
feelings
for
Rose
are
not
paternal.
This has been a PSA.

No but…can you imagine Tentoo accidentally calling Jackie ‘mum’ in front of everyone (aka Rose):
*Jackie complaining about something the Doctor did*
Tentoo: Oh, will you give it a rest, mum, it was an accident!
Rose: ….
Tentoo: Uhhhhhh…
Rose: Did you jusT???
Tentoo: NO!!!!
Rose: YOU CALLED MY MUM, MUM!
Tentoo: NO, I DIDN’T!!!!
Rose: YES, YOU DID!!!
Tentoo: NO, I DIDN’T!!!!!!!! WHY WOULD I DO THAT?! JACKIE IS A SLAP-HAPPY MEANIE!!!!
Pete: Don’t talk about your mother that way.
Rose: *hysterical laughter*
Doctor: *blushing*
Jackie: Even my alien kids are idiots!
*Later that night, the Doctor tells Jackie he might of, sort of meant it. Jackie tells him to stop acting silly, of course she’s his mother, 'I mean, who else would stand being in your presence for that long without them being your family?! Now stop being an idiot and take some biscuits I made.’*
**The Doctor secretly gives Jackie a hug as he walks out the kitchen.**
***Rose saw and snapped their picture and frames it for them.***
****It becomes a family favorite.****

There is a war inside my core. I hear it fight, I hear it roar.
Rating: All ages Pairing: Ten x Rose Find it: AO3 • TS • [ 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 ] Story summary: The Doctor and Rose attend a royal wedding as esteemed guests, and when a bouquet toss goes a bit awry, the Doctor is forced to broaden his mind to embrace fantastical concepts he’d never allowed himself to embrace in order to save Rose’s life. Tags: Fluff, Fluff and Angst, Angst, Romance, Enchanted Sleep, TLK, (Not a Sleeping Beauty crossover) Words: ~2500 Story: Catching Flowers Author’s Notes: This is a continuation of the fic prompted by @tenscupcake. Thanks so much for the prompt and for being patient with me. It’s finished!! Thank you to everyone who read this story and gave me such wonderful words of encouragement and feedback!! :) I can’t believe it all stemmed from one silly little prompt. This is officially the longest thing I’ve ever written in my life. ;)
And a HUGE thanks to @aimtoallonsy for being my amazing beta and also to @jeeno2 and @caedmonfaith for helping me out on more than one occasion.
As a side note, Rose’s dress is based off the dress Claire Danes wore to the 2016 Met Gala, which can be found here.
For months, the Doctor and Rose traveled together throughout time and space, running and laughing their way through danger and adventure. During quiet moments, they slowly nurtured the fledgling bond between them and learned to embrace their new forever. For Rose, it wasn’t difficult to accept the gift they’d been given (or, rather, helped create), but the Doctor, long since burdened by and cynical of the ways of the universe, often had a hard time accepting that Rose would be forever by his side.
