I will never understand the hate for grey hairs. Your hair has sliver in it now. You have the color of stars on your hair. You have proof you survived and grew up. You have proof you are living. How is any of this bad?
we should be far more concerned that our theology is loving than if it is logical, pragmatic, or even "correct."
The root of everything is Love. If our theology does not reflect this Love, that theology is shit.
You actually do have a responsibility to learn who God is and follow His commandments. Which of course includes love....
"Includes" love is an understatement. "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself." is what Christ said, as was written in Matt. 22. There is no argument to be had that love is the foundational commandment by which we must live. Love is the root of our very being. If the other commandments are not done in the spirit of this ultimate commandment, we have failed as Christians.
We can break the commandments, sin, etc... and still know God. But if we don't love God and our neighbor, we have forgotten and ignored God. "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love" (1 John 4).
So it is actually imperative when we speak of God, that our theology is loving. Because if it is not, it breaks the foundational Christian idea that God is Love. Love literally supercedes everything. When all else falls away, Love will remain: "Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away" (1 Cor 13).
monarchy has no real purpose and should be abolished irl but im a slut for royal families in fiction. the politics. the intrigue. families divided by the eyes of a nation. the pressure of children told from birth that they are born to rule, born for only one purpose. the stifling of empathy and real bonds and love. the loneliness when all eyes are on you. it’s so inherently tragic and yet everyone involved is terrible because that’s all they can be. gimme.
