The Anatomy of a Sex Scene: Screwing Under the Table
Started off with making sure she's comfortable
Reassuring her that he wants her
Switching positions
Sweet talking her and telling eachother how much they like each other
Dirty talking (about food)
Finishing and start pillow talking and reassuring her that he's there for her no matter what
Getting up all disheveled and fixing her clothes
Giving her clothes to put on
When will we get the Chef's Kiss?
These people love a metaphor, and I doubt they'll lose at the chance to use chef's kiss.
It's *almost* perfect, but he was not ready to give her a real perfect *chef's kiss* yet... We already know all my thoughts and theories about the significance of the risotto to both of them and combining their families, but it really might be the one thing that really brings them together *wink wink*
Was he planning on perfecting the risotto with her and then giving her a chef's kiss? I guess we'll never know. All I know is that I'll be on the edge of my seat next time they bring it up again.
Not on Carmy's watch, step away from his girl.
Season 3 is coming. We are so back, baby.
Why end it before seeing Syd?
Whatever is gonna happen right after is gonna completely change their dynamic for better or likely worse, and probably be the antithesis of this moment when he saw her come back.
"Syd and Carmy shouldn't date because they would just end up fighting with each other."
Umm they literally already do that
Honestly half their fights are literally just about them wanting the other to talk to them more but them being too scared to be vulnerable. Like they can't possibly make it worse by loving each other a little more and ending their fights with a little kiss and an "i love you" instead of ttyl sign language.
But how funny would it be if they just said fuck the slow burn and just immediately started kissing as soon as Carmy is out of the fridge and he tells Syd that he ended things with Claire?
I honestly think he is unhinged enough to do that considering he went from 0 to 100 under that table after only a few hours of realization of what she means to him. I really think the only thing that stopped him in that moment was that he knew he still had a girlfriend, cause that man really did not care if anyone walked in and saw them. If this is truly a comedy and not a drama like they claim it is, that would be hilarious. so many oblivious people would be like where tf did that come from? meanwhile those two are like every second counts we gotta catch tf up. it's just a whole season of them trying to figure their shit out while she's still simultaneously upset and distrusting of him but also like what are we?
In a space of less than 24 hrs Carmy realized he doesn't love Claire he loves Syd, Marcus asked Syd out, Syd rejected Marcus, Carmy told Syd she's his priority, Carmy accidentally on purpose broke up with Claire, and then Carmy finally makes his move on Syd? I could see it.
I believe in platonic friendships.
I do not believe in writing platonic friendships where they are secretly pining for each other because that is not a platonic friendship. That's just friends secretly in love.
If you're gonna write a strictly platonic friendship do not give them the energy of "we might kiss at any moment", because platonic friends don't do that.
Platonic friends should not be more physically and emotionally charged than their love interests.
Carmy would definitely be the type of stupid to "accidentally" kiss Sydney instead of his girlfriend a la Perks of Being a Wallflower.
He was so stupid and confused at seeing Sydney and Claire in the same space, he couldn't even decide which one he wanted to send home.
"Syd and Carmy shouldn't date because it would make everyone in the restaurant feel weird when they're around each other."
Umm they literally already do that
might as well confirm their suspicions.
what was the reason?
what was the reason?
they are insane
they both lost the idgaf war
they are so chalant about each other. there is absolutely nothing nonchalant. they are both too busy giving af about the other to notice the other is also giving af.
He really just gave Syd a preview to the real thing.
