Hobie legit became one of my favs despite how skeptical I was from the stuff I heard about him before the movie came out with the love triangle plot (which is actually handled really well)

First thing he says to Miles is advice on how to get his lightning to work

He praises him for saving someone against the canon event established

The whole time he's lowkey taking shots at the Spider organization and trying to warn Miles not to trust them bc he knows what Miles really is, and bc of that knows they don't hold good intentions towards him

Dude has only known him for like 30 minutes (all the while Miles wasn't super friendly with him) and helps him escape from the Spider organization

Then just quits after they've totally destroyed any good he saw in them bc of what they did to Miles right in front of his eyes
