Chorus: Frog Warrior is a role-playing adventure game about a little frog trying to prove themself in a world full of warriors much bigger than them.

In the game, you play as Chorus, a young frog with dreams of protecting the world. Being a tree frog, however, society expects them to lead a life of religious studies, instead of training to be a warrior. Their small size certainly doesn’t help anyone take them seriously, either. Seeking a better life, Chorus moves to Boreala, a village where many warriors train under the wisdom of a veteran soldier. They quickly learn things aren’t going to be as easy as they hoped. With a powerful army and a disturbing rumour both on the rise, Chorus needs to discover what it means to be a truly good warrior - before it’s too late.

Mikael Chukwuma Owunna, a queer Nigerian-Swedish artist raised in Pittsburgh, has spent the past two and a half years photographing Black men and women for a series titled Infinite Essence. Hand-painted using fluorescent paints and photographed in complete darkness, Owunna’s subjects are illuminated by a flash outfitted with a UV filter, which turns their nude bodies into glowing celestial figures.

Owunna tells Colossal that the series was his response to the frequent images and videos of Black people being killed by those sworn to protect them: the police. The photographer’s friends, family members, dancers, and one person he connected with on Instagram serve as models for the project, which is named after an idea from his Igbo heritage. “All of our individual spirits are just one ray of the infinite essence of the sun,” Owunna explains. “By transcending the visible spectrum, I work to illuminate a world beyond our visible structures of racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia where the black body is free.”

One half of the Freyja sisters designs, a set of character kits and designs I’ve made for my Paladins OCs. This has been in the works for almost a month since I went out of my way to make them kits and ask around for opinions, and while these may not be the most balanced kits, I’ve done my best to develop them visually over the weeks!

Some stuff may still be made for them in the future, so this is pretty much just a base design of sorts! ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

First off, I am blown away by the amount of love I received for my Jester costume!!! She was amazing to make, so much fun to wear, and all around an incredible experience from start to finish!! I have a bad habit of getting sucked into details but I think it worked in my favor this time around! There were so many little things about Jester’s outfit I wanted to get just right, and fussing over them was honestly half the fun.

The beautiful photos taken of the completed costume were done by a dear friend of mine @ivorivet, who isn’t just a fantastic photographer, but also an amazingly beautiful talented cosplayer in her own right!! I can’t thank her enough for doing my solo shoot and I love her to bits 💖💖💖

Other helping hands are credited to @dontevenlikecoconut, @centeris2, and @artofnana, who all did little tasks on other costumes so I could focus on Jester, or drove me up packages from home so I didn’t lose my mind the night before con. 💙💙💙

I did something a little different this time around with my WIPs! If you follow me on instagram (pearlybaecosplay) then you would have seen the hell crunch that was on my insta stories all month!! Hey btw if you don’t know how to program, you should check out [novelty], which is a free Visual Novel creation software. Absolutely no programming required, and it’s super easy to use, I played with it some when I was a teen but the only reason I didn’t do much with it is cuz I made my story complicated and had like 5000 different branching routes that kept spawning new routes and made myself confused LMAO

But yeah, it’s a WYSIWYG with a really straight-forward GUI, if I remember correctly.

It even comes with some free backgrounds and characters and stuff, and this is what it looks like:

Did I mention it’s super duper free? It hasn’t been updated since 2010, but it has basically all you’d need to make a simple visual novel.

Just make sure your DirectX runtime is updated, cuz it can act buggy if it’s outdated, but this program is so old that I doubt it’d even be an issue lol
