It’s always hard to say goodbye to someone so close to you, even more so under the current global situation where a lot of us are isolated from regularly seeing our loved ones irl. AAA im really glad you like it!!! Druddigon is one of those underrated pokemon that I think are kind of neat due to it’s fun shape design lol. I too, would love to hug a druddigon... I Am Imagining It As We Speak :)

Howdy!!! Sorry if this is a bit messy but this is the best i can explain it:

so i first do a (very messy) sketch. As detailed as I need to fill in info. I set this layer to Multiply.

Then I make a color layer beneath it and go ham filling in flats/shading. I know people tend to separate layers out of convenience of editing later but I dont uh. Really Do That Oops!! Once everything is approximately how I like it, I take the sketch layer (feel free to clean that up first so it doesn’t look as ugly lol) and merge it down to my colors layer and then edit the piece from there until it’s “finished.”

As you can see I made a few tweaks inbetween the prior step and the finalized piece towards my base sketch- I usually dont worry too much about getting things finalized until after I merge my stuff b/c I don’t really mess with lineart much! This probably isn’t the most effective way + ik layers are helpful especially on big productions because of editing requirements but if I’m doing freelance/my own stuff this is how I usually operate (it’s a lot more... traditionally based imo working on One Layer Only rules).

Slapping stuff on like gradient or overlay layers r also Super Popular and I do That Too lol
