I think I downloaded the wrong Game of Thrones.
If you loved Thor Love & Thunder, it's cool and great. You don't need to read ahead. But as far as my own opinion goes, it was absolutely the worst MCU movie of recent years.
Here's the thing, Ragnarok is in my top 3 favourite MCU movies and Jojo Rabbit is one of my most favourite movies of all time and so I love Taika Waititi to bits. So pardon me if I don't understand how could he make something like this.
He had everything to make this movie another masterpiece like Ragnarok. He had the full creative freedom, the mighty Thor plot ( which I loved btw but hated how poorly executed it was), he got Natalie Portman back, he had Christian Bale, he had the opportunity to throw in as many gay references he can and yet the movie was a complete disaster.
Now, I am not hating on the movie for the ridiculousness or its colour. Rather I am hating because the whole plot progression was a mess. Every single joke was stretched too far. The comedy was often unnecessary and Taika didn't let any emotional plot to build up even for a minute. Every single emotional aspect was ridiculed. Christian Bale was amazing as Gorr but his moments were damped by some unnecessary comedy, the moment it started gaining momentum. Natalie as Mighty Thor was amazing but her plot too was underutilized and felt very vague. Taika had an amazing Thor character at hand, probably the best Thor we had in years, the one Taika made himself and got better in Infinity war and End game. He was depressed, he was trying to find himself and then he met his ex whom he really loved and now she's got his hammer. Taika had all the elements to make it amazing. Instead all I got is 2.5 hours of SNL level comedy skit where Thor tried to convince Strom breaker that he is over Mjolnir.
I am disappointed as hell. I was expecting a wacky, colourful, fun, peak comedy movie but I was not expecting an absolutely rubbish, B-grade comedy movie. Taika needs to learn that comedy sometimes need to be reined in even in a comedy movie so that the plot can shine. If every single moment is intended to be comedic, it's not a comedy movie, it's just a Skit. Also I am convinced Tom Hiddleston /Loki could have made this movie better somehow. Man I miss him.
I don't know why I feel extremely uncomfortable to talk about Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial because I feel like no matter whom I speak in support of, I will be in the wrong.
See, I personally believe they both were in a mutual toxic and abusive relationship. They both loved each other in a sadistic way and they both suffered for it. But what was wrong of Amber Heard was the fact that she presented herself a victim when she too was a perpetrator.
Since this was a defamation case and Depp's allegations were that Heard wrongly accused him and tainted his reputation with lies, initially I did had fun at Amber's expense and shared memes and videos. But as the trial progressed, the entire thing became a witch hunt and that's when I started feeling uneasy.
The attack on Amber Heard not only became extremely personal but it also started becoming directed at other woman. The whole concept of domestic abuse was started being ridiculed and people started wondering how many other have lied? Also everyone started to worship Johnny Depp. Now I personally am a fan of Depp and I do understand that he was wronged by Heard . But somewhere down the road of this trial we completely forgot that he is not a saint.
Again I am not saying Amber Heard is innocent. Honestly I don't know but as far as I have seen the trial, she doesn't seem like she is. But it also doesn't mean that Johnny Depp is a saint. And it also doesn't mean every woman is a liar or men cannot be abused. This entire case has brought out so many aspects and topics of conversations that needs to be addressed by everyone. For example male victims of domestic abuse, toxic female advantage, possibility of discrediting a victim of domestic abuse because of the precedent Amber Heard case set etc. But instead we collectively are focusing on a witch hunt. To mock and ridicule Amber Heard by seeing the case as Black and White where Heard is the Devil and Depp is the angel when reality clearly is far from it.
Let's not turn this thing into a greater circus than it already is. Let's not diminish the effort #metoo movement had started and let's not discredit men who face domestic abuse.

So FINALLY we got our Henry and Alex for Red,White & Royal Blue movie. And I have some thoughts....
Initially I felt extremely happy because both of Taylor and Nicholas are good actors and on top of that extremely hot. But as the time passing by and I am seeing people's outrage, I beginning to understand where they are coming from. Two hot hunky man as Alex and Henry might seem great but for the book lovers, it would mean that there would some serious changes to the already perfect book. For example, Alex and Henry had a lot of goofy childish energy that emits early 20's vibe. It would be weird to see Taylor and Nicholas toppling the cake because honestly, they look too old for that sort of stuff. And Taylor looks way too much handsome and sharp to portray Alex's goofy ADHD traits and Nicholas looks way too confident to portray Henry's Gay panic nervous self. And while I do think they might do great, I am beginning to feel like the movie will be something different than the book.
I imagined Alex and Henry to be someone similar looking to Michael Cimino and Kit Connor.
I mean look at these two. They would have been perfect as Henry and Alex. But I do understand why they couldn't have them in RWRB because they already are part of two amazing LGBTQ project. However they would have been perfect and the makers should have found people of this age .
Another perfect casting for RWRB is the cast of Young Royals. Edvin Rydin and Omar Rudberg as Willhelm and Simon.
Honestly if you are RWRB and haven't watched Young Royals then go and immediately watch it. It's a lot similar to RWWB but angsty. Also I first started to watch this series thinking this is the Swedish remake of RWRB and seeing Omar who looks exactly how I imagined Alex would be. Seriously, RWRB makers should have just waited for Edvin to grow up a little and then casted them in the movie because they are perfect as Henry and Alex.
At this point I am sure that the movie RWRB will be very different in terms of vibe than the book seeing as they have casted two older actor. I feel like the movie will be more sexy than cheesy and I am not sure if that's a good thing or bad. Let's just hope that the movie turns out to be a different sort of good even if it barely resembles the book.
As much as I loved S4, I feel like Duffer brothers need to stop adding characters in the show. Because at this point so many of the og cast barely gets enough screen time and storyline. For example, I felt like the character Argyle added nothing but comedic scenes for the show, while Jonathan's character was reduced to smoking pots. Also Mike's character felt very insufficient.
And another thing that I didn’t like is the whole Steve-Nancy-Jonathan triangle. It was cute till s2. Steve is my absolute favourite but he and Nancy broke up. And Nancy is a smart girl. It feels like a disservice to her character to throw her like a ping pong ball from Steve to Jonathan like 2010's YA book trope.
Another thing that has me worried is the possible Eleven-Mike-Will triangle. I really really want Will to get a BF but please don't let it be Mike. Mike and Eleven has been through so much and they are so wholesome, it'll be a travesty to break them up. We romantics need some endgame couple and Mileven is that for us.

Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness : Spoiler filled rants/review ahead
Things I loved :
1. The horror vibe of the movie. It was very cool and very unique. While I do like the general structure of MCU movie with action and humor, I loved the fact that MOM has began a new genre/ era for Marvel movies and broke the standard structure of the MCU movies.
2. Visuals were stunning. Again gory and terrifying aspect of the movie was top notch. It didn't feel like light hearted movie. Although they should have given a heads up beforehand because the kids in the theatre got quite a scare in few places. It was definitely not a children's movie.
3. Both Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen were fantastic in it. In this movie, Doctor Strange finally felt like an unique, complex, emotional character whereas before while I loved him, his character felt very much all about his arrogance and skill. But in this movie Cumberbatch was finally at ease with Strange and completely owned him and I finally felt the kind of magic I feel while watching any other Cumberbatch performance. And Elizabeth Olsen just elevated her performance on a even higher place than what we have seen in Wanda Vision so I guess I won't have to explain how good it is.
4. The cameos. I screamed when I watched John Krasinsky as Reed Richards and of course Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier.
Things I didn't like :
1. The chaos and madness of the movie. I know the title itself said 'madness' but I didn't expect it to be this intense. I got a headache from watching the movie. I got an headache from watching all the chaos unfolding .
2. The plot didn't add any value in the MCU or anywhere. It was just fighting and chaos. But there was not plot from going forward. No question about multiverse was answered. I guess they needed a movie to show how crazy multiverse can be but I felt like they should have balanced it out with some substantial plots as well.
3. Wanda's character assassination. I understand Wanda's villainous transformation but I hated how it was from the very beginning of the movie. Wanda was in a good place in the end of Wanda Vision and if they had shown her slow transformation to the evil side in the movie or he being bad due to the influence of the Darkhold with the progression of the movie, it would not have felt this bad. Wand is after all one of the Avengers who sacrificed her everything to save the world. And in this movie she was committing mass murder left and right from the get go. If she was supposed to be evil in this movie, they shouldn't have left Wanda Vision (post-credit scene aside) on such a hopeful note.
4. The death of the Illuminati. While I know it's not that big of a deal since they were just accessories in this movie, but I hated how they introduced these characters and then just killed them within minutes.
Overall I am not sure whether I loved the film or hated it. It had its moments and was definitely a first in MCU in many aspects. But it was not a great MCU movie. No one is going to claim it as a favorite and neither will it be considered as a masterpiece. And last but not the least, Marvel should fire Michael Waldron as his writing of Multiversal plot is messy, chaotic and non-sense at times. Someone needs to tell him that this is not Rick and Morty. I am scared for Loki s2 now.
HAPPY STAR WARS DAY AND MOON KNIGHT FINALE TO OSCAR ISSAC ONLY. IT’S HIS DAY.
I have a fabulous costume in mind
I hate how Jonny Depp got fired but lowkey loving Mads as Grindelwald more than Jonny's version. Man Imma hella conflicted
Loki falling for Loki, Thor falling for Thor. Well-done Odinsons👏🏾
Took me a minute to understand it but I did and it's true
The only reason Anthony Bridgerton had a sideburn in s1 was because the creators wanted all eyes on Simon. Cause let's face it, if it wasn't for the sideburn, everyone would have been team Anthony from day 1.
“It is because I have never met anyone like you. It is maddening, how much you consume my very being.
My family is on the brink of ruin. I am nearly certain every last one of my brothers and sisters secretly despise me. My own mother, at that. Despite the fact I have lived the better part of my life for them.
And yet still, all I find myself thinking about, all I find myself being able to breathe for is you.”
— BRIDGERTON season 2
