Y’all I’m so sick at the news. As optimistic as I was, I knew there was a chance he could get back in office. So I am extremely disappointed but I am not surprised one bit. I commend Kamala for what she was able to do in such a small amount of time.
Since roe v Wade got overturned and womens rights is being affected
Glory box by portishead should be on full blast right now
It's getting worse and more and more women are dying because of complicated pregnancies or getting arrested for miscarriages that are being called abortions. What interesting about all these states overturning abortion rights is that a lot women don't find out they're pregnant til after 6 weeks.
So he should be extra mad at himself
“Republicans have just gone on the record in favor of expensive insulin,” Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) said after Republicans voted to remove an insulin price cap from the Inflation Reduction Act. “After years of tough talk about taking on insulin makers, Republicans have once against wilted in the face of heat from Big Pharma.”
Democrats had hoped to limit patients’ out-of-pocket cost for insulin to $35 per month as part of legislation to address inflation and climate change. But when the Senate parliamentarian ruled that the provision’s cap on private insurance is not primarily connected to the federal budget, Republicans, led by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), seized their chance to object.
Democrats needed 60 votes, according to Senate math, in order to keep the private insurance cap in the Inflation Reduction Act. While seven Republicans voted to retain the cap, that was still three senators short of the 60 needed.
The goods news is that the bill — at least for the moment — maintained $35 per month cap on insulin costs for people on Medicare.
Absolutely ridiculous that CNN would even have him as a guest. Absolutely mind-blowing that Jake Tapper just.... moved on.
Saying that in broad daylight, all out in the open
Covid. Monkeypox. Now Polio…
BRING THE FLOOD!!!
Polio is back?!😦
Just shut everything down!😭. Idk how much more I can take!
this headline should be “police kill innocent child in reckless firebombing”
This kinda thing happens all the fucking time with flashbangs. I’m from Minneapolis and every couple of years you hear about MPLS SWAT burning down a house or scarring a child with flashbangs.
It should be noted that flashbangs really became known when the SAS demonstrated them in the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege, Operation Nimrod. That was basically the first time most of the world got their understanding of flashbang grenades and saw how they were employed. Almost immediately, every SWAT team in the US was clamoring to get the things, because SWAT teams are more about cops getting to play commando than anything.
The Iranian Embassy was closed for 13 years after the SAS raid because the flashbangs, on their first real outing, started massive fires and caused incredible amounts of damage. SWAT teams have always ignored that because the grenade is “less lethal.”
So many trigger laws are about to go into effect. Announced about 5 mins ago… I wanna cry.
[ID: “JUST IN: The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade Friday, holding that there is no longer a federal constitutional right to an abortion.
Going forward, abortion rights will be determined by states, unless Congress acts.
In early May, Politico had obtained what it called a draft of a majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito that would strike down Roe v. Wade.” End ID.]
This country continues to be complete shit!
This country is sooo…
I just found out and yes, this country is. And what gets me is the same people that helped in overturning it, are the same ones that will help their daughters and mistresses get abortions when it benefits them. This has no effect on them because of their wealth and status
They sure will!! A damn shame! And the fact that they’ve been trying to overturn since it became legal!
