there is no way castiel would ever be onboard with hunting unwilling angels. literally no way. he’s been hunted by heaven repeatedly. he was heaven’s fucked-up dictator once and it um ended badly. he has been human and felt human pain and human kindness. if the writers were being real, they would have had him stand there in his sad grover bathrobe and tell hannah that yeah, order is an okay goal, but he respectfully disagrees with the whole manhunt thing on the basis of being fundamentally fucking opposed to a totalitarian heaven. i don’t care if castiel is dying. castiel has died a lot and it never fucking stops that guy. castiel would have done more than sit there like an actual bump on a very real log while angels got riled up to kill one another, because when the going gets tough, castiel doesn’t lie down, castiel shoves tablets inside himself and teleports fucking transtemporally between chain restaurants. castiel is not a fucking bystander.
