Before the Dawn spoiler!!!!

So apparently Ruby ISN’T also a representation of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz like so many fans in this community (myself included) had thought. YES, I know! Ruby is also mainly based off of Little Red Riding Hood! But there have been other characters in this show, not many mind you, who also seem to be based off multiple characters. But no, thanks to the Before the Dawn book, WE HAVE OUR DOROTHY!!!! It’s some rando girl in a black and white photo in Headmaster Theo’s Office! She’s described as a girl with pigtails, a checkered-patterned dress, and has a little black dog. The book also suggests that it could be Theo’s daughter or niece, and him having ruby-encrusted boxing gloves helps support this as they allude to the ruby-encrusted slippers. Could this mysterious girl in the photo be the Summer Maiden????? WHO FLIPPING KNOWS???? lol Anyways, be good out there y’all!

Edit: Had to make a few edits to help describe what she looked like according to the book. Thanks to the people who responded to this theory. ;3

I finally finished reading Before the Dawn! Pretty good book! I liked how they’re setting shit up over in Vacuo..... which that place is some seriously crazy shit, btw. lol

We did get to have a bit more quality time with Team SSSN and learned some stuff about himself there.

But my biggest interest was that freaking ending! Yup! They’re definitely gonna make another book, otherwise why end it so open like that, right?

Also Yatsuhashi and Velvet are the cutest couple I’ve seen in this ENTIRE series. Yes, the entire SERIES!!! Not just the show. Not just the manga and comics. But the whole RWBY series as a whole! Come fucking fight me if you think otherwise! (Actually please don’t. lol)

But aside from that, I very much enjoyed this book. Nice to see that some crazy shit can happen in a Kingdom that for once ISN’T caused by Salem. Like for real, I was expecting some subtle shit connecting The Crown with Salem, but it appears that wasn’t the case. The Crown is it’s own faction of messed up people. lol

But anyways, I highly recommend all RWBY fans read it! It’s a cool and interesting take on what’s going on in the world while the main story of the show is happening. I’m sure the two sides will converge soon in the future. But do read this book. It’s canon! So yeah, go check it out!
