So HERE’S A THOUGHT!!!!

So I have finished reading the new RWBY: Roman Holiday novel and a sudden realization came to me! Now I may be reaching real far in the barrel, but I may have a theory that has some pretty good evidence to back it up.

So yeah first thing’s first, SPOILERS!!!!! GO READ THE FUCKING BOOK BEFORE YOU READ THIS THEORY! Thank you! ;D

Aight so check this out…. So we all know that Neo’s real name is actually Trivia Vanille, and she named herself Neopolitan after her supposedly imaginary friend Neopolitan who she’d see jumping around and having fun, as well as causing a bit of mischief. She is described in wearing a pink princess outfit with full pink hair and pink eyes. But Trivia was the only person who could see Neo for a time until she used her “Overactive Imagination” Semblance to make her become a physical entity.

There are a couple of times where Trivia is told she has potential, both by Roman and by the Headmistress Ms. Beat. (Which was something I’ve always said about Neo in the first place).

So my theory, with this evidence, is this! WHAT IF…. Imaginary-Friend-Neo is not and never was imaginary in the first place. What if she actually was always there as a part of Trivia, AND was something like a separate entity that is attached to Trivia. Kinda like… oh gee I don’t know… perhaps… a soul or spirit? A soul or spirit who likes to associate herself with the color PINK (or of that of a pinkish hue) A pink spirit that we all may have seen in a certain fairytale? Yeah, do I have your attention now? Do y’all see where I’m going with this??

What if Imaginary-Neo is…. Actually… The Summer Maiden living inside Trivia-Neo!? What if Neo has been the Summer Maiden this whole time, but she hasn’t yet come to realize that yet? The fact that imaginary-Neo seemed capable to act on her own, but also needed Trivia’s Semblance to interact with others in the real world? Makes ya think, huh? lol

Jaden: “OKAY!!! I moved from the moon into the mysterious world/dimension that RWBY, Jaune, and Neo fell into. That giant tree in the background..... I live there, now!”

Yggdrasil’s a Perfect Place!!! 🌳

Imagine Team RWBY, Jaune, and Neo walk up to the Giant Tree and they see a little information box with a lever. Ruby pulls the lever and they get something like this playing for them. With picture at the end as well! 🤣

Uh-ohhhhh..... Lindsay.... I wish you the best of luck and may you stay strong and vigilant against any toxic WR shippers....

As for me, I’m gonna hop into my little bunker and watch from a safe distance. lol

Um.... ok I may have missed it but..... uh.... ok please tell me if I’m wrong or not, but I could’ve sworn Miles and Kerry said they’d tell us what was in it, but I honestly can’t remember if we saw it yet..... YO!!! WHAT THE FUCK WAS IN THAT GIFT BAG RUBY GOT AT THE TRAIN STATION IN VOLUME 6!!?!?!?!!?????!????

There’s No Doubt About It...

The next time Neo and Cinder meet, Neo’s gonna FUCK. HER. SHIT. UUUUUPPPPP!!!!!!!!

So Here’s What I Think (Hope) Will Happen in Vol.9....

Neo and Ruby will wash up on that beach thing together, and Neo will be absolutely FURIOUS! She might even scream out of anger (which should be ok for a mute, after all her character in Blaze Blue does grunt and make vocal sounds). Anyway, Ruby will probably say something along the lines like, “See what happens when you trust a person like Cinder? Now look where we are! Where you got us! All because what? Lemme guess, she probably told you that I killed Tortchwick, didn’t she?”

Of course just by mentioning his name is probably gonna make Neo lash out at Ruby and the two have a bit of a struggle, with Ruby probably yelling, “Are you kidding me!?” (Kinda like that scene from Guardians of the Galaxy 2 with that fight between Gamora and Nebula.)

Ruby will then probably yell out, “I’m not the one who killed Tortchwick! He was about to kill me on that airship when a Griffin landed behind him and ate him! Think about it! We were surrounded by Grimm! Do you honestly think us fighting wouldn’t have drawn their attention!?”

Neo will probably once again gain some kind of advantage over Ruby (I mean c’mon look at how easily Neo was kicking Ruby’s ass in that portal room. lol) But then that’s when Yang tackles Neo to the ground and pins her down with Jaune, Weiss, and Blake also arriving doing their best to restrain Neo.

Yang will probably say something how she’s been waiting for a chance to pound Neo’s face in and is about to punch Neo until Ruby yells at her to stop. This will surprise the others as they question Ruby.

Yang: “But she was trying to kill you!”

Jaune: “She almost killed me and my team!”

Blake: “She worked alongside Roman and helped destroy Beacon!”

Weiss: “As well as destroy Atlas and Mantle!”

Ruby: “I know! Trust me, I know... But then again.... so did Emerald... And you didn’t see what happened to us back in the portal room... Cinder betrayed Neo and knocked us both into... whatever this place is. I just need some time to talk to her and straighten things out.”

Yang: “You can’t be serious! Ruby, this isn’t the same as Emerald. She was scared and confused. This one, she knew exactly what she was doing. I could tell!”

Ruby: “Yes, you’re right.... but remember what Oscar said? We don’t have to forgive her, but we can give her a 2nd chance... Just hold her down a bit and let me talk to her. It won’t help us to be at each other’s throats while we’re stuck in a place like this...”

From there on the group keep Neo restrained and have their weapons on her as Ruby has a talk with her. And hopefully there, Ruby can try to explain to Neo that she wasn’t the one who killed Roman and that it was actually Cinder and Salem who’s to blame. I know it’ll take some time for her to be convinced. Maybe whatever is in this weird world they’re in will allow Ruby and the others to show Neo that they’re not her true enemies, and HOPEFULLY this will lead Neo down the right path.... Hopefully...

Yoooooooo! So check this shit out!

Ok so crazy idea just popped into my head. So y’all know that seemingly endless black void that Yang fell in. WELL (and keep in mind this a fun theory to dwell upon for WHEN she returns) what if whatever the hell that void thing was actually changes her into something that makes her forget her whole identity. She loses her memory but gains a more violent persona upon things. Kinda like... psshh gee I don’t know... maybe a RWBY version of Bucky/Winter Soldier? Eh? EH??? That’d make for one interesting story.

Like imagine the team goes off to investigate a violent disturbance and find some crazed blonde warrior killing people, but only for it to be Yang sorta semi-corrupted. And they all call out to her, “Yang!?” And then she’d be like, “Who the hell is Yang?” before lashing out at them. That’d be SO wild! lol

Guys why didn’t Ruby Silver-Eye Cinder in this episode???

Ok, so in my first viewing of this wild episode I didn’t notice this, but luckily I was able to catch it on my 2nd viewing. *clap* O-KAY! I found something that kinda pissed me off and I’m sure y’all didn’t catch it either or never thought about it.... So yeah, y’all remember back in the Volume 7 finale when Weiss and Ruby caught up with Penny, Winter, and Cinder right after Penny got the Winter Maiden Powers, and the moment Ruby and Cinder made eye contact, Ruby just straight up blasted Cinder with her Silver Eyes.

So why in the HELL didn’t Ruby do that to Cinder in this episode when Cinder is clearly out in front of Ruby, maybe about 30+ ft away from her, monologuing like your typical villain, and what does Ruby do? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! She just sits there and listens. Meanwhile a whole kingdom of people are running for their lives trying to get to safety, and Ruby is just standing there, listening to Cinder monologue about her plan....

Look, I don’t want to blatantly said it out loud because I get people are still freaking out about Yang, but wouldn’t it have been more likely for Yang to have not fallen into the void had Ruby just taken the bloody shot with her eyes on Cinder??? I mean COME ON, man!

Granted, I’m sure Neo still would’ve tried to kill Ruby regardless, and perhaps the same events would’ve followed afterward with her falling into the void as well. I’m just sayin. But damn it would’ve been easier for everyone afterwards had Ruby just Eye-Blast Cinder in that moment, right?

Again, this is just something that annoyed me. Just this one thing. lol
