the fandom lacks so much aurra sing content, she’s such a great assassin, don’t you think? they definitely could have done something a bit more interesting with her in the clone wars series

I enjoyed what little we did get of her in the clone wars series and I personally don’t mind that she didn’t become a “big player” in regards to the overarching plot because she is a bounty hunter.

She has her own agenda and takes on what jobs she likes.

She left a pretty big impression in the kind of person she is, especially in her interactions with other characters -- and ones she was close to.

If there happened to be a side series that focused mainly on bounty hunters, it would have been cool to see more of her doing her own thing and taking contracts alongside others. My only regret was how she was treated offscreen, outside of the series, in terms of what happened to her.

It's horrifying to watch that clone trooper struggle for his life in Bound for Rescue only to be crushed like a bug by Grievous

Oh definitely, I will always remember how brutal that scene is, actually. And seeing the way that Grievous moves through the clones like they are nothing.

He gets rushed by three clones but he’s able to fend them off. And captures one under his limb and weight almost effortlessly.

It’s times like these where the you are reminded at how scary he can be.

What do you like most about Echo?

I like how attentive he is. Not many things get past him.

When you see Fives and him working together, you can tell a very distinct difference in how they work. He’s observant, and he takes his time to figure things out, but when he sees his chance, he goes for it.

Why do you think Fives never put anything on his armor to honor Echo? Was it because it hurt too much and it cemented the fact he was gone?

It’s the environment they are made to become accustomed to.

When they are young, first starting out, the pain is fresh. Friends die. They try to do what they can to remember them. They make ceremony, they do homage. But then more friends die. And more. And even more.

There is not enough space on their armor. Not enough skin to bear the ink.

Eventually, their pain and mourning is tinged with other things: anger, frustration, exhaustion.

And despite that constant – almost to the point of routine – loss, they are made to move forward. To go back into the fray and fight.

Once they are fighting, they cannot carry the burden of their loss too tightly. They can’t afford to be distracted.

However, despite all this, I think there are also other ways to commemorate the loss of a loved one that goes beyond bearing marks and paint. Sometimes it can be actions, oaths, small hidden tokens.

So, even if there is nothing that we see immediately that visually marks something to honor Echo, I don’t doubt that he still honored him in another way.

SPOILERS FOR S7 E2: I recall everyone constantly debating how much Ahsoka and Obi-Wan knew about Anakin's relationship with Padme, but I don't remember anyone suggesting that Rex knew - and now it looks like Anakin told him everything, to the point where Rex helps him contact Padme and covers for him regularly! That felt like a real bombshell - it shows a level of closeness and personal trust I didn't know Anakin and Rex had. I like it, but it only makes the eventuality more tragic lol.

I remember Filoni mentioning during a Clone Wars panel (this was after the show had been cancelled), and he had confirmed that Rex did know and that he had planned to hint at that earlier in the series.

I actually don’t remember the main details of which episode it was supposed to be but it involved Rex speaking to Palpatine after Anakin told Rex that he was going to see Padme and for him to cover for him. Except that scene didn’t pan out as they couldn’t make a legitimate reason for Rex and Palpatine to be alone and interacting in this way without it feeling forced. (I swear I’m not...misremembering despite being unable to find the source for this)

It’s so nice how we have such a clear cut confirmation that Rex knows and that Anakin also trusts Rex enough to cover for him. I can see him also confiding in him about it as well and that makes me all sorts of happy that he trusts in Rex in this way! And that Padme also has that trust in Rex too -- like, from their conversation, she was totally aware that Rex was helping to cover for Anakin!

And honestly, even if Anakin had not been open with Rex about his relationship with Padme, Rex would have had a good idea of it anyway. Anakin is not very subtle.

Cody- No one can survive a fall from that height Kenobi in the Rako Hardeen arc- *falls off a building and is absolutely fine*

Ok now you got me thinking on whether or not this is supposed to be a testament to how Obi Wan is too good at taking a beating.

Of course, there is the fact that the falling off the building thing was part of the whole “faking his death” thing so I imagine he prepped how to fall in a way that looked really convincing.

But at the same time…the man could also just be super resilient.

And I don’t know if I should be scared or impressed that Obi Wan was willing to fall off a fricking building and land on some really hard looking boxes to convince people he was dead.

i've got my fingers crossed that we get a wolffe appearance! 🙏 my only hope is that he's dave's favorite.

Oh anon, I’ll have you know that Wolffe is one of his favorites.

Filoni loves wolves, and when he created Wolffe and the wolf pack, that was the main motivation. Also, Wolffe is one of the clones he brings back for SW Rebels, so I have a feeling we’ll definitely be seeing him again.

At least, I hope so!

What if it had been Cody instead of Waxer that died on Umbara?

You know...I’m usually all for interesting hypotheticals, but I’m not really dwelling on this one too much since all there aren’t really many particular diverging paths I’m thinking of.

Cause’ when it comes down to it, I feel it’s all pain.

It doesn’t matter if we swap out the victims, it doesn’t change the fact that the clones were all victims in that incident regarding Krell.

On the flip side, I think about the clones being able to realize at the last moment before they start shooting so they don’t have to live with the fact that they were killing each other.

Dooku captures arc is fuckin hilarious

It’s not his proudest moment, but I honestly also keep thinking about how when Hondo is contacting Sheev Palpatine regarding collecting a ransom for his capture…It’s even funnier when you think about how he is also Darth Sidious.

And how he’s also probably face palming himself internally so hard.

Because his literal apprentice got outsmarted by the same pirates he was supposed to be working with and got himself captured.

When Cody Rex Fives and Echo gather around 99 after his death I feel like it's very telling of each of their characters.

I think it’s more indicative of what we know about 99, if anything. I know that they are all mourning him, but the fact that it affects them so deeply is the biggest testament to 99 as a person.

He was known by basically everyone and there is not doubt his loss will be felt by many.
