Mace Windu, in the middle of being an absolute badass, sees that one of the villagers on this planet is scared and in danger, and his immediate response is to make the most heartbreakingly sympathetic face I have ever seen in my life. His immediate response is to help, the gentle way he connects with the ancestor’s spirit that Dooku has been controlling, the way you can see it on his face that this cuts him deeply, the way he eases the spirit’s pain, takes away Dooku’s poison, frees it from this horrible act it was forced to commit? WE STAN JEDI MASTER MACE WINDU IN THIS HOUSE AND MY FEELINGS ARE IN PAIN AT HOW GOOD THIS MAN WAS

i always feel like i know all about star wars lore and then i do stuff like open darth maul’s wookieepedia page and remember that there’s books and comics and shit that i’ve never even touched and like. do i really know anything at all

i can’t include images in replies but TLDR vader gets stranded on a planet, murders a lot of space hyenas until the space hyenas nominate him space hyena leader

and he just ROLLS WITH IT? like vader is so desperately lonely he’s just OKAY COOL I’M DAD HYENA NOW? he murders something that threatens the space hyenas by beating it to death and then straddles its corpse howling at the sun with his hyenas

There was a comic where Luke Skywalker met a long lost Clone Trooper who had no idea the war ended 20 years after he crashlanded on a planet and proceeded to treat Luke with the highest honors as his de-facto Jedi General. It does seem that there is a range involved in the chips, we don’t know what that range is but based on canon it seems that the signal dies out in the farthest portions of the Outer Rim so it’s over 50,000 Lightyears effective but less than 100,000.

Oh wow, that’s a great thing to know! Not as sad as it could be. Though I guess this makes it all the more easier to bury this sort of thing so people never really find out about the chips at all.

Still, the range on that thing. Wow.
