Yumi and the Nightmare Painter (Commissioned piece for 17S)
So I drew the most voted carnival scene! Thanks for the opportunity =)
cosmere inktober 12: stone
Old and new! I drew this original piece back in 2017 and I decided it was time to update it~! Here is the new version of Dance of the Mistborn, which features Vin and Elend from Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series. I had a lot of fun working on this, and was brave and gave Elend some facial hair. XD
This is probably my most requested art print, but because it was originally drawn traditionally on speckly paper, I couldn't print it larger than 8x10 inches. So I wanted to do an updated version so it could be printed at a much larger size. (And my art was better. Haha!)
This piece is now available as a print over on my store! Use the code HOLIDAY2023 to bet 15% off your order!
The pain of not living in America and not being able to participate in a lot of cool events and giveaways *sobbing*
Headcanon: Bridge Four makes Kaladin jokes the way we make Chuck Norris jokes
“when we were bridgemen, we renamed our bridge after Kaladin, but Sadeas made us change it back because no one crosses Kaladin Stormblessed and lives to tell the tale.”
“Kaladin sleeps with a pillow under his spear.”
“Death once had a near-Kaladin experience.”
Because the Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson is my current read, here’s Wit for #swordtember day 8 - Jester
Heyo, so, I noticed your reblog on a post mentioning "Dier Venture" and now I'm intrigued... is that a Mistborn oc fic I smell? Exploring the Venture family? Because if so, I would love to read it! (If Dier is just an obscure canon character or something else entirely, ignore this ask. 😅)
OH BOY UHHH OKAY SIT DOWN LET ME TALK ABOUT SECRETS IN STAINED GLASS.
(Character portraits by the insanely talented Elisgardor on Instagram)
Dier Venture is my character for a murder-mystery actual play series Secrets in Stained Glass that just finished airing! It's set 10 years before the events of The Final Empire book, at a weekend winter solstice party hosted by House Elariel. We use the Mistborn Adventure Game system to build our characters and roll the dice, and the mystery and storyline itself were written and run by the ever amazing, ever wonderful @rashenditrash as our illustrious Narrator. There's a lot of fun references to the books and secrets tucked away, and even though it's technically a prequel, we did a lot of work to make sure things would fit within the Mistborn canon as seamlessly as possible.
It's five episodes long, though there's some written bonus content as well! The series was edited and produced by yours truly (it nearly killed me, but it was absolutely a labor of love) and you can watch the whole thing on YouTube or listen to the audio versions on whatever podcast platform you prefer. Though, I will say, for any audio listeners, there are a LOT of visual assets and graphics for this show so if you just listen, it might be worth coming back to look up the visual elements afterward.
Lo, trailer be upon ye:
As for Dier himself... (fine, i'll put a cut to save people's dashboards, open for more info on The Trashboi™)
She's right! Listen to SiSG it will consume your life and I mean that in the best way possible.
As for Dier himself, drowned-rat of a man though he may be, he's like that knick-knack that is *technically* trash, but you keep delaying throwing it out because you find it neat. Like a bottle cap, or a ramune bottle.
Someone posted this on the Stormlight fb group. Isn't it so cool?!
every normal fantasy author goes to Q&As and they get questions like "hii i love your writing! where do you get inspiration for all your amazing worlds and characters?" and then the author will respond like "I go on frequent woods walks and I like to watch history documentaries :) it gets me really inspired" and then brandon sanderson will go to Q&As and get a question like "if you had a nicrosil compounder, could they burn the stored investiture and then store it again to generate infinite investiture? and if so, could you use that to generate infinite stormlight, provided the nicrosil compounder was also a knight radiant? and using the infinite stormlight, could you establish a perpendicularity using bondsmith powers, travel through the cognitive realm at high speed with the infinite stormlight, go to sel, and use nightblood to eat the entire Dor, permanently disabling the magic of Elantris?" and then brandon responds with "RAFO. You'll find out in Stormlight 5"
Shallan Davar, a complex person.
The ninth level of hell is cosplaying Kaladin and being mistaken for Hamilton
“Ah, if it isn’t Kalexander Stormilton”
can't see shit in here *snaps kaladin like a glowstick*
The goal is to post on tumblr more
