“What- what the fuck is happening? What the hell are you?!” he croaked shrilly in rising panic.

Simmons tilted his large head, an ear flicking up, “A werewolf.” simply stated like Grif was an idiot.

The next day Church took to scratching at the doors. A faint barely there thing you had to strain to hear. Sometimes Grif thought he heard other people talking, but he never went to check. He knew they weren't really there. No matter how real their pleading cries and screams might sound.

So waaaaaay back in the far of time of 2015 I drew an illustration of everyone’s favorite garbage boy stink man. I made a video to go along with it too but there was one problem... the video was almost 20 minutes long! D8  Here in the future present where I know more about making process vids, I decided to grab the footage and try again! So here that is! Way shorter and (hopefully) way better!

Simmons made a kind of exhaled grunt, the sort people make when they're relieved but also frustrated, "No. I-" he squirmed, "Look, I get the whole 'when you're ready' mentality, and it's nice and all but I don't think I'll ever BE ready. So...ummm... Give me until...end of the month? After the full moon? I'll figure something out by then."

The camera feed that served as his helmet’s main source of vision glitched and fractured, and it took him a second to piece together what he was seeing, trying to parse it all together even as consciousness began to leave him again. Dirt. Rocks. Dry grass. Sideways. Sunlight. Shadows. Movement. Legs? Distant. Color. Laying beside him. Armor. Crumpled. Mangled. Streaked with dirt and liquid red, dark and bright. Maroon.

My @redvsbluesecretsanta gift for @finerafin ! Scooted just under the wire! I hope its crazy length makes up for its slight lateness! Some winter gift-giving fluff amongst the Red and Blues! Featuring some sweet Logrimmons and Simmons having an existential crisis about whether or not his gifts are good enough! 

"It would be so easy," Church continued, walking in slow languid steps back towards his victim, "to just reach inside your silly little head and just make you admit it. Make you be obedient. But that's no fun... It’s so boring Dexter," the pressure on his armor increased, he could hear it groan threateningly under the strain. "Day in and day out in this shit hole of a canyon in the middle of nowhere. These little gnats, who dare to try and tether me to this pathetic and shattered little shell."

Church's hand raised imperceptibly and the pressure spread to Grif's skull, pressing him harder into the concrete wall, he could hear it cracking.

Day twenty-nine of Sketchtober! Agent Carolina from RvB as a Lovcraftian Ghoul!

So by way of explanation: A good while back I was chatting with some friends about the effects HP Lovecraft has had on modern specific. I brought up Halo as a prime example as it has many direct similarities with some of the creatures in his stories (the flood being a 1 to 1 replication of "flying polyps" from Shadow Out of Time) and since we were also RvB fans we started talking about that too and so here we are! 

Why this creature? Ghouls appear in several Lovecraft stories, they are humans who spend too much time learning all the old secrets of the world and take to snacking on corpses. Ghouls have a penchant for knowing how to get around, they know every secret passage and door and path, even between the real world and the Dreamlands. They resemble devolved humans, have dog-like facial features, short fur-less tails, and hooves. They are highly aggressive, strong, agile, stealthy, and deviously intelligent. Sounds a lot like someone... ;P

Day twenty-seven of Sketchtober! Kaikaina and Dexter Grif from RvB as Deep-One Hybrids from H.P Lovecraft's Shadow Over Innsmouth!

So by way of explanation: A good while back I was chatting with some friends about the effects HP Lovecraft has had on modern scifi. Why this creature? In the story the Shadow Over Innsmouth the residents of the town harbor an agreement with Deep-Ones, in exchange for endless supplies of fish and gold they will make certain... concessions to the Deep-Ones, which results in hybrid children. They appear normal until one day they begin dreaming of the depths and transform into Deep-Ones themselves. Add in that the first humans to make contact with the Deep-Ones are said to be groups in the Pacific Islands and that a certain (Yellow) member of Blue Team was trapped underwater and didn't drown..?

Day six of Sketchtober! Simmons from RvB as Wilbur Whateley from H.P Lovecraft's Dunwich Horror!  So by way of explanation: A good while back I was chatting with some friends about the effects HP Lovecraft has had on modern specific. Why this creature? In the story, the Dunwich Horror is a child of the Eldritch being  Yog-Sothoth, and they spend their days trying to learn how to perform the tasks that will please their "father". Simmons started with surprise and blinked at him, "Oh... Uh, I didn't expect you to be awake..."

"Where are my pants?" Grif blurted like a gigantic idiot.

"What does that have to do with Cinnamon?" Grif asked, the pit in his stomach he'd been trying to ignore all day feeling far too obvious now.

"Because from everything you've told me Grif," the old woman put her hand on his knee in a comforting manner, "It sounds like you were already ready to make him part of your home, and it sounds like he'd already accepted you. So be patient, it will hurt, it always does when you don't know what will happen. I'm sure he's probably frightened too, but have a little faith, alright?"
